I dont mind paying the $13 taxes on a compted room ,but I'll be dammed if I'll pay a $20 resort fee on top of that. We live 40 minutes away, we can go home and sleep in our own bed. Its the middle of winter,be happy we're there, guarantee you if we stay in the hotel we'll drink and gamble a lot later and lose more than $20. Not to mention the next day.

I'm hearing it's all NJ CET properties. What marketing genius thought this would attract more people to CET AC properties????? Unbelievable!

I doubt it's Marketing's idea. More like the boys from Accounting. (Or the bankruptcy trustee.)

Sevenstar insider reports that all AC casino/hotels are charging resort fees with the exception of Borgata. Like Las Vegas, Diamond and Seven Star players are not charged the resort fee.

Borgata...the only semblance of class left in that Godforsaken town.

they can get away with it in Vegas.

But in A/C - they gotta be kidding me.

One more nail in the coffin.

I sent them an Email basically to that effect,I hope it really kicks them in the ass if enough people stay away.
If they really dont want us Gold level people then dont offer us comps in the first place.
It's a joke ,we get free parking for gambling,WIFI,dont need it .
Told them in EMail ,Golden Nugget has free parking and good promos for seniors ,we'll be over there .
I'm probably better off going home to sleep anyway, drink less, gamble less .

I agree! This is just a plain stupid move. They must really be desperate for money.

My wife and I moved 90% of our AC business to the Borgata. They treat us so much better than Harrah's. And we both used to be Diamond, no more.

    What a stupid idea !
As a former AC gambler/hotel guest - this shows
one more reason why AC is drowning.

This is why I only stay at Borgata (The Water Club, actually). Harrah's is quickly turning into a dump and the "Pool" club is attracting some rough twenty-somethings. AC is dying and the main reason is the casinos are worried about how much they can squeeze out of customers rather than focusing on giving the customers a reason to come back.

What's funny is borgata is the one hotel there that could get away with charging a resort fee.

not to hijack, but Horseshoe in bossier charges a resort fee as well on a comped room...15 bucks a night....but the hotel at the horsetrack, springhill, does not charge one.

Did not know that. I guess it is charged if you are not diamond or 7 star. BTW - I noticed that Lake Tahoe is now charging too. I guess they are now charging at all their properties?

Mrs. got a free room offer and it mentioned in the fine print at the bottom a $5 fee and charges for wifi and excercise also. She's the lowest level card there so if you're higher level it may be free for you. Best way ,call them I guess.
