Caesars palace is my home casino when I'm in Vegas. I've only stayed though in the palace and Octavious towers... Going for March maddness and took an offer for the Augustus tower luxury room...anyone stay in these rooms? How are they compared to palace or the regular Augustus rooms? Thanks for any info!!

Definitely one of my favourite rooms in Vegas, especially when on a high floor with a Fountain view. I am not sure of the difference between luxury and regular rooms.

Much better than octavious, much more modern. Also enter through the side of the Augustus tower not through the front of Caesars. There is a check in/out desk that not many know about. Makes check in/out a breeze.

The difference in the rooms is negligible unless you are really nitpicking. Octavius has an electronic "Do Not Disturb" sign/doorbell (which I like quite a bit) and a couple of fun curly reading lights attached to the wall beside the bed. I think the couch on Octavius is also a bit nicer than Augustus. Things might be a little fresher but the rooms are essentially the same. I prefer Octavius in the summer to be closer to pool and Augustus in the colder months to be closer to the casino and the front door!

79.jpg 76.jpg 77.jpg 78.jpg We stayed at Caesars for the first time in the Augustus last week. Rooms are fantastic. We had the room at the end of the hall facing the Bellagio Fountains. The view was awesome, my only negative about staying on the side facing the fountains, there was a lot of street noise, meaning passing cars and trucks, not to mention all the sirens which we heard daily. After staying solely at Paris for the past 4 years, Caesars will now be our home base in Vegas. Pics are from our room.

We stayed in Augustus in May. Our room was identical to DJs photos. Nothing to be worried about as far as room quality goes. If you get a south facing room, the view of the fountains is great.

The closing of the Augustus check in desk is a real bummer. It was super convenient if you used valet or taxi/limo, and was never crowded like the main Checkin.

Think this is just a temporary thing? This could be a game changer for some that were "spoiled" with that and the complimentary breakfast coffee/tea for Augustus guests.

I was told it was a cost saving move to cut labor.

Well it sucks no matter how you look at it. We had decided to stop staying at Caesars anyway. Time to start trying different hotels. Going to give hotel32 a whirl and see what happens.

DjRan, are you talking about the VIP check-in closing or the side Augustus Tower Check-in. I just an email from another 7* that he checked in last week at VIP check-in.

Diamond/7* check-in still exists. The other regular entrance is closed.

The valet is gone from there. That Flamingo road entrance is strictly for limos now.

    I was there last week.

The room in the Augustus Tower we stayed in was probably the nicest hotel room I've ever had! I think this was a regular room, but it did have a nice (but lower angle) view of the Bellagio fountains. We got this room by the luck of the draw at check in, as we had two back-to-back reservations and that was one room they could let us have which we would not need to check out/in of. It's much nicer than the Forum Tower.

I did not know of a special check-in desk. We did take advantage of the "secret" side valet park whenever we could. :)

Ok...so we've only stayed at Caesars once, and it was in NOBU, so check-in was obviously different (and great). I am Diamond staying in Augustus/Octavius (can't remember which first right this moment, haha), and we'll be taking a limo from the airport...so, I'm confused, is there still a check-in at this entrance on Flamingo, or we have to go to the main area? Frankly, I didn't pay any attention to these areas last time we went :S Since the limo is from Caesars, I imagine we will be led in the right direction, haha, but who knows. I like to be prepared! If it makes a difference, we'll be arriving at like 10pm. I appreciate input from anyone who recently visited :)

You're in a Caesars limo and diamond so you'll be taken to the Flamingo side entrance and can check in the the VIP area there. It is right across from the Starbucks. Late arrival may mean that the VIP is closed. Not sure of the time for that now. There will be a special line, if you do have to use the front counter. You could call ahead to ask what time the VIP closes.

That's the Flamingo street entrance that is LIMO ONLY now.

I did notice some very fancy cars appeared to be valet parked there.
