    My Trip Report

I've put this off coz I've been busy and wondered if it would be of interest to others.

As the title suggests I hit my first RF this year at the Aria new years week.

    IMG_1975.jpg

Ok I know I was playing nickels and 25 hands but it still counts eh?
Was slightly disappointed only hitting one as I was dealt four to a RF but then was super delighted when it came in on the first hand. If you look at the other hands I got one of every Ace
Took me a while to press deal again I can tell you :rolleyes2:
    Has some other nice hits
    IMG_1980.jpg
    IMG_1979.jpg
    IMG_1976.jpg
    IMG_1947.jpg
Was running low at this point hence only the 20 lines.
This was nice, never had a quad with kicker dealt before, shame I was only on 20 lines but it perked me up no end
    IMG_1945.jpg
Then switched back and got this
    IMG_1946.jpg
Tried some STP and it payed off. Never hit a 10X multiplier before and on 4 Aces too :faint:

Went over to the B to try their quarter and 50c progressive as I usually have some goo luck with quads on these bank of machines
    here's some of them

    IMG_1928.jpg
    IMG_1929.jpg
Shame about the kicker but I had a real problem finding these all trip :grrr:
    IMG_1939.jpg
    And again :grrr:
Hit a few $1 quads at the Cosmo including my fav quad Kings
    IMG_1918.jpg
    and queens
    IMG_1920.jpg

At the start of my week when I was flushed :rolleyes2: I played the Dream Card machine and hit a few nice hands.
I like this machine but playing £10 to win $5 with just a pair really puts a dent in your BR especially playing DDB. this was my best hit
    IMG_1896.jpg
Some more quads including my Fav quad kings
    IMG_1900.jpg
    IMG_1899.jpg
    IMG_1901.jpg
    and queens
    IMG_1902.jpg
    IMG_1898.jpg

These were all at the Aria, a couple of machines away was a new VP ( new to me anyway ) I hadn't seen before and Decided to give it some play, wished I hadn't as it kicked the crap out of me. Mainly coz it took me some time to adjust my strategy to play it but by the end it was too late and it took me for quite a wallet emptying session

Dam it groceries have arrived, online shopping, hey it works for us. Will carry this on later if anyone is interested. :wink2:

Ok.. so for the idiot on the board. (That's me) :)...

How does the Dream Card game work? I would think more often than not it would provide a card that gives you the maximum opportunity for a big hand but.. the queen above confuses me.. :)

Nice hits though! ! Thanks for posting!

Every so often on the 5th card it gives you the "Dream card" which as you say offers you the best opportunity based on your dealt cards. It doesn't always give it to you hence the queen.

Got dealt a low quad last Aug on the first four cards but did it give me my ace on the dream card? did it bo**cks, was might miffed about that one, didn't give it on the re-deal either :grrr:
Right time for my dinner :Þ might carry this on later

    Nice hits CJ!!!

I'm still waiting to hit Aces with any multiplier let alone 10X...:grrr:

Also crazy your two big 25-play hits where on the first line!!

As CJ says, you pay 5 credits extra for the possibility of getting a "Dream Card" as your last card on the deal. The odds of you getting the Dream Card varies depending on the game you play. JoB/Bonus get it almost half the time, DDB/Boner Deluxe/TDB are closer to 30% as the dream cards boost the quad count significantly. The dream card is supposed to be the one card that would help your hand the most. However, it's been shown that the game has a bug in it, and does not always give you the correct Dream Card, so you need to be a bit careful.

I personally verified this bug on my trip last year. This is an 8/5 Bonus Spin Poker machine w/Dream Card (99.27% w/DC) at Red Rock.

The game awarded me the Ten of Hearts as my Dream Card so I can now have a low pair. But...I'm playing Bonus Poker, and 4 2-4s are more valuable than 4 Tens. It should have given me a 4 instead. I manually changed my Dream Card in the upper right hand corner to a 4 before playing (and losing).

On the strip, Bellagio has a spin poker with DC machine with decent paytables. And with the spin poker version, you can play as little as one line as seen in my pic. 9/5 Boner Deluxe (99.05% w/DC) at quarters+, 8/5 Boner Deluxe (98.11% w/DC) for nickels/dimes.

Ok, thought I'd just finish this off with the 2 last pictures I was going to post earlier of the VP I hadn't played before.

    It's called Look Ahead poker
Sorry for the quality of the first pic, I hadn't realised I hadn't reset the game from the previous player and was a bit ticked off when I realised I wasn't playing DDB.

    IMG_1925.jpg

After I had changed games and piled in far too much money I got this
    IMG_1926.jpg

It's strange how finding out what your first card is going to be on the re-deal affects your strategy  Took me far to long to adjust, that and the dam thing just wasn't giving me any wins didn't help me and ended up caning through waaay too much. Stick to what you know especially as the extra $2 per hand just weren't paying off for me. I'm thinking at the end that it was just stone cold as I know my VP isn't that bad. I know I'm probably below 100% on correct play but I'm not THAT bad :rolleyes2:

Have a bunch more quads if anyone is interested. I seem to do quite well getting them just not enough to come out a winner.

See what I mean about the kickers :confused2: get em on quarters but not dollars :grrr:

I might have to try that look ahead poker later this month. Definitely not for dollars though. As far as strategy change, I would think you would just pick the best hold out of the 6 cards instead of the usual 5 for the given max bet paytable.

Nice hit on the RF. Now for the $1 RF.

Hopefully your luck will rub off on me for 1 of my 2 trips in March.

You may be right tringlomane and I'm just lacking experience
This is the only one I have seen of this game and if memory serves the denom was only $1 and up nothing lower but I could be wrong.
It was outside the HL slots room in the Aria towards the poker pit end of the banks of VP
