The thread about what machine to spend $100 a day on got me thinking. What was your favorite slot that disappeared from the casinos pretty quickly.

For a brief time time about 10 years ago some casinos had Battleship, I could put $20 in that and play for hours. I would never win much but I wouldn't lose either. I think the fatal flaw from the casino standpoint was that the main bonus was you got to play battleship and it was an actual game of battleship that allowed you to think it through. It came up pretty often as well.

Another great one was the original Flip Flop at the Venetian, that one would throw out bonus rounds pretty quickly and the payback was actually decent. It lasted maybe a little more than a year before getting pulled.

Amazing Race - I miss that game and how in the bonus rounds everyone plays together to find the ticket and stuff. My favorite slots are the entertainment where everyone plays together or with big audiences watching the bonus rounds. One machine I hope never goes away that is hard to find is "Beat the Field" horse race community game that is only found at my local casino Pechanga. I have not seen that machine at any other casino or even anywhere in Vegas. My local has 2 of them and they get a lot of play and are fun. I play it whenever there is a seat available when I get into the casino and if the jackpots are high.

Lions progressive. I know it was there a long time but always looked forward to increasing the jackpot!

I miss the old ones that were the start of the penny video style. I was always drawn to food based ones it seemed.

There was a hilarious one about chinese food - when you lined up the chinese take out containers you would go to the bonus round. A phone would ring and a chinese man with a strong accent would answer the phone and you would have to place your order. You would choose from each area of the menu - started off with the soup - you would choose egg drop or sweet and sour, then go to a beef dish, a pork dish, noodles etc. At the end he would confirm your order and the credits won were revealed for each choice you made.

There was another one about an ice cream shop, same deal - build your own sundae in the bonus round.....or trying to catch cherries on top of your ice cream.

**sigh** that was the start of my "chasing bonus rounds" addiction.

That was/is called My Lucky I believe and you can still find it at a lot of casinos. Both my wife and I loved that one. There are two versions and the only difference is the sound track. The first one was very un-PC. For instance when you pick the Hot & Sour soup he would say "Like my wife and girlfriend". He had other sayings that while not over the top were surprising. Most of the ones you find now the sayings are more generic. It's a pretty fun game.

Wow, I will keep my eyes open for it- any Vegas sightings?? I assumed it wouldn't have been around because it was so in-PC, so makes sense they toned it down a bit. Too much fun! Thanks for the info!!

The original Austin Powers penny slot. My buddies and I spent a day pooling our money and walking to each casino on Virginia Street in Reno (there were more than there are now) and making sure we played every single one we could find at each casino. I'd bet it took us 10 hours to do that.

You can find it in a lot of places in Vegas. Recently I saw it in NYNY and Monte Carlo, I'm sure Excalibur would have it, they have lots of old machines. Also Mandalay Bay has a bunch of older machines too.

I miss the older Price is Right games that had the big wheel on the vertical backpiece. Cliff hangers, dice game, and also the one where 4 people played at the bank. Think it was called Ultimate "something".

Put me down for missing Battleship as well. That was such a great game and "competing" against the other players was a blast. That thing had to be a money loser for the casino since it was yanked out super fast.

Neon Nights is one of my faves which you rarely see anymore.

Hot Flashes. Cute game, all but disappeared.

Enchanted Unicorn. I can usually steer clear of the evil wizard! :)

Frog Prince. Getting more and more hard to find!

Survivor (one at Sams Town is the only I know of). Big Tippers. Monkees.

Don't know the name of it, but people call it Mile High Club. Hilarious bonus with this doofus bag handler and the x-ray machine! :)

Another I don't know the name of I call Mother Trucker. Lotsa fun.

Treasure Chess. (Sams Town still has one.) Bonus chess-like moves across the screen.

There are several others I liked but are not there anymore.

It's definitely not readily available at CET or Boyd (except they say joker wild has it).

From some Google work, I found a YouTube from last year where the guy was clearly at McCarran playing it, D Gates possibly. McCarran has a bunch of ancient igt games especially near the gates.

Also I found an old trip advisor thread saying casino Royale, plaza, mgm, golden Nugget and Fremont. But that data was four plus years ago. This machine is really old obviously.

But loving racial humor, I'm going to keep my eye out for it.

The game was actually called "frequent flyer". Also had "hot flashes" along with some others I liked including "Get Nuts", "Ring Quest", "Wild Goose Chase".

I rarely won at that place though.

The Orleans still has Hot Flashes (at least it was still there in November). There were two, back by Koji.

Spam!, Spam!, Spam!, Spam! The Spam machine used to yell this out constantly. It was THEE most annoying thing I ever encountered with a slot machine. Seeing as I hate slots, I found this to be the alpha and omega encompassing my true feelings on the machines. I miss the reinforcement to my aversion blarring at me as I walk through a casino.

Definitely Yukon Gold! Specifically the one right off of the escalators inside TI. I hit a good one on that once!

Also loved the old Men in Black machine and there was one with a cowboy theme that was really loud when you hit a bonus but I don't remember the name.

My husband really misses the old 3-reel Elvis quarter machines. Used to play those for hours on $100 inside NYNY and MGM years ago!
