Any input on Harrahs buffet? Prices, quality of food, etc. I read where a 1 day buffet pass was available for like fifty bucks. What is that does any one know?
It has been a couple of years since I ate at Flavors Buffet in Harrah's but I really like their breakfast buffet. I think the buffet pass is the buffet of buffet's for $54.99 and a few dollars less with a Total Rewards Card. It is a 24 hour pass that gets you into several buffets. It is really a pretty good deal if you like buffets-- you can spend a lot of money on 3 sit down meals in 24 hours in Las Vegas. I have never done the 24 hour pass. I have seen where some have started around 9 am in the morning and eat lunch and dinner on that first day and get back in to a buffet early the next morning @ 7 or 8 - then they actually get 4 meals out of it. You will find a mix of opinions on buffets - the lovers and the haters. I usually always eat a buffet for breakfast - It is hard to screw up coffee, juice, and the usual breakfast fare -- although the Luxor buffet did a good job of screwing up their breakfast buffet - by far the worst.
Breakfast is ok, dinner not so much. We ate there a couple of years ago with a deal for the show Legends and a free buffet and is was good. Last year we went and I didn't care for it.
$ for $ IMHO it's 1 of the best " midrange" buffets in Vegas. Everything is fresh (I've never Seen food looking like its been sitting awhile). They're always replacing items. Dinner time has crabs legs and if you are diamond they also throw in mimosas. 2 years ago 10 of us went. I purchased some 2 for 1 coups on groupon that included wine/beer. Group had a great time. Oh and the service is excellent. In my 6/7 visits we have never had to ask for thm to pick up dirty dishes tht were piling up. I've also done the Bellagio "buffet", wicked spoon ( Cosmo), bachannal ( Caesars) , spice market ( Planet Hollywood), La Village (Paris) buffet , Cravings (mirage) and the Buffet (Wynn). All are pricier than Harrahs so it's not fair to compare them to Harrahs. However I've done the buffet at Luxor and the Flamingo, which are similarly priced, and Harrahs blows them both away. A suggestion.......if you are looking to get your biggest bang for the buk I would go off strip to any Station casino.nothing fancy but their buffets are all single digit buffets ( $5, $6, $7 .etc) and you get as many offerings at theirs as a flamingo buffet at less than a 3rd of the price. Dinner at RedRock and Green Valley Ranch are a little more!
So So - been there a few times, with the last this past summer. Had a Groupon deal for drinks. Service was a bit slow. Some of the food was decent. It never wowed me, but I wasn't out and out disappointed. Definitely think Spice Market is better for similar money via groupon or similar sites.
We did the buffet of buffets last year when it was a gift for opening a TR visa card. We did a late Planet Hollywood dinner, which is excellent. They are open until 10:00PM. We then did a Harrahs breakfast buffet and another early Planet Hollywood dinner buffet. If you start your 24 hour with a dinner buffet, you will be able to get in 2 dinners. Just don't start with a breakfast buffet. I have read that Harrahs no longer offers a lunch buffet.
We ate Harrahs lunch buffet in September and loved it! The service was excellent. The nice lady even encouraged us to take ice cream and cotton candy to go. There were lots of cupcakes and other dessert selections. The food was delicious.
You might want to look into this further. With the B of B, there is a large upcharge for a couple of Caesars premium buffets. I would do the Stations. It seems that most all the breakfast buffets that I have had, the potatoes are always bad. Thankfully there are other things to sample.
Harrah's buffet had slipped, in my not so humble opinion, last time there. I enjoyed Flamingo better, and Paris much better.
