Will be staying at Wynn/Encore in a few weeks and was curious what type of comp drinks are available while gambling. In past trips I've stuck to regulars (Coors/Bud and drinks like Jack & coke or Colorado bulldogs). Especially curious about any craft beers that would be available and Bourbon/Scotch. I know that Ballast Point Sculpin is served on draft in some of the Wynn/Encore bars but didn't know if it would be available on the floor. If this question is too specific to Wynn/Encore, can any details be given regarding other casinos? (I realize there's a 'stickied' thread that talks about comped drinks, but it seemed outdated)
They will give you whatever you want as they seem fit (if they see you betting only $10 a hand, maybe maybe not) I've always stuck with Macallan 12 at Aria and can get Blue Label at Bellagio, betting around $100/hand.
Not sure about Wynn as I don't really play there, but I have been at other casinos where waitresses won't get you drafts/bottles from the bar (I'm thinking about Cosmo particularly with regards to this). Other casinos may also be different. I have a bad habit of going straight to the bar though... I know you can get Sculpin comped in a bottle at TAG lounge in the Linq casino (former Quad/IP) by playing VP at the bar. As well as the M Resort at the 32 Degree Bar on tap. This is a great beer; one of the best IPAs I've had. I'm excited about drinking more for "free" next month!
tringlomane, good suggestion about TAG. I've heard about the place but haven't got to check it out yet. Did they end up putting table games in the lounge/bar area too? And agree about Sculpin, one of the better IPAs out there.
Last September I enjoyed comped Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA at the Catalyst Bar in the Quad playing .25 cent BP. Looking forward to repeating in May. Mark
LOL. My wife calls it the Sculpin bar. It's a great beer but will sneak up on you pretty quick. My go to beer there is Mirror Pond.
