Can anybody comment on the construction status for MIrage. I know the 24th was the last day for the poker room until May.

    They are doing the following:
Reducing the size of the poker room.
Relocating the cage to the top section of the present poker room.
Turning the present cage location/high limit slots into a large bar.
Moving the high limit slots to the high limit BJ area.
Combing high limit BJ with Baccarat.

None of the above has started yet (at least while I was there, Jan. 16 - 19). They are also getting rid of the Revolution Bar.

Well that is interesting and a pretty radical change...I liked the way they had it set up now.

I forgot what the host said...just remember it being one of the things to go. I will say, for an old property, they have done a nice job of keeping it updated.

Me too. I'll be there for a conference I run the week of Labor Day.

I remember when there was a bar in the location of the high limit slots, If you watch Vegas Vacation, There is a point where Wayne Newton and Beverly DeAnglo (sp) are sitting there having a drink.
That was also when they had the Carib Café across from it and had seating that looked out on the casino floor. (current location of some type of restaurant) not sure what it is called as we never liked it and only went into it one time.

:( Oh no! I haven't had a chance to go there yet! Guess I will move this to the top of the list, if it's still there in April.

When you say "Revolution Bar", do you mean the actual lounge that was only open in the evenings, or the bar area outside that opened to the casino floor? Or both?
