North of NYC ( 7am) nothing yet !
I take the train to work...early today....so I can leave early.
Deadheads were discussing that MTA might shutdown trains
    anywhere from 1pm - 3pm.
So, I'm telling my boss "Adios !" at noon -
"unless you want me to sleep on your desk ?"

Damn, windchills are gonna be the worst !...below zero.

In Maine it is supposed to start after midnight, they are calling for 22 inches where I live with blizzard conditions.
We will be getting ready for a few days without power tonight, oh joy

From Monmouth County NJ, it's snowing now and we're expecting 20+ inches of snow. Also, there's a blizzard warning for the area... Great! :grrr:

Yeah, my sister in Philly has already started her passive/aggressive campaign about being low on heating oil.

I'm with you, Joe. There are some high scattered clouds here today and a 10% chance of rain, high might not reach 70, so no golf for us today!!

But seriously now, you guys be safe back there, OK!?!

That sucks. I felt lucky to only have to shovel around 4 inches here in Columbus this morning before work.

I told my boss..."I'll be leaving early."
    She said, "You can't !"
    WTF ?
I've already been in an accident when you called me "in" -
    during sh*tty weather !
Now, you're saying, an employee CAN'T LEAVE ?
What Dictatorship am I under ?

For the first time ever my boss just came in and said that we will be closed tomorrow due to the weather. Usually they wait until you drive all the way in and then send you back home again at noon.
They are closing everything down even a lot of the retail businesses, the City of Bangor is going to be a ghost town tomorrow.
There won't be a loaf of bread or gallon of milk anywhere between here and Boston by 4:00 this afternoon! I guess we will have to get by on PB&J on frozen hot dog rolls from last summer.

This is funny to me, here on the south shore of Lake Erie, 20 inches of snow is just another day in paradise. Clean it off and go to work.

That's what it usually is here. I was shocked when we were told not to come in tomorrow, usually it is business as usual. I'm not going to complain though, a free paid day off is never anything that I will turn down :D

I'm in CT. Latest predictions show I'm in the 25+ inches zone. Some areas in MA are predicting almost 3 feet.

This is another time I miss being back home!

Although it looks like Philly and the burbs will be spared a bit. But I LOVE when we'd get smacked with a 1-2FT snowfall. The last one I was a part of before I moved to Houston was 2006 when we had 25" at my home and work in Chester County.

Tomorrow in Houston? High 75 so I will be in shorts

she has an overnight bag packed in case the hospital call a plan B, which means most will have to stay overnight...

the governor here called for a total travel ban after midnight tonight... $500 fine if pulled over if you are not an essential employee.

Not much snow here in Happyville NJ. Maybe 3 in. at most ,some light snow still falling at 8am . Weather Channel was the one who predicted 3 in. for this area all along. NYC tv had us buried under a foot or more. Good luck to NE folks.
