    Warts and all.

"Have to say, our White Castle burger lived up to the less-than-flattering reputation perpetuated by the restaurant’s detractors. Approximately 15 minutes after having eaten a portion of one burger, we experienced the kind of intestinal distress usually reserved for travelers dining at food carts in Mumbai."

I've never eaten a White Castle burger myself. So, I'll give it a try in the next week or two. My take on these things is you never really know if you're going to like something until you give it a chance.

I will personally never understand the love this chain gets having had it a few times in the past. Just blah to me in every sense, not even good drunk/stoned food.

From the Detroit area and there is lots of love here for White Castle myself included. Something about the grease and the soggy bun with cheese, pickle and mustard. YUMMMM.

    I think I found today's lunch!

Its always about your own taste.. Vital vegas says the shake shack is overrated. Vegas chatter says its incredibly good! Have heard people saying burGR is totally overrated. So... It comes down to individual likes.

I am a burger guy so i will check out shake shak and white castle in about 2 weeks!!! YAY!

Not really much of a white castle / krystal guy sober, but I love those 2 chains after a few drinks.

Nothing better than greasy onion burgers, or taco's from taco bell after drinking.

I really can't see why people become such rabid fans of fast food chains, but hey, I'm not everyone and if someone enjoys White Castle, all the better.

I do agree that WC is best enjoyed as a sober-up session.

I have an iron stomach, but about an hour after having a couple White Castles for lunch, I start to get this queezey feeling. Probably because there's no alcohol sloshing around to get absorbed.

I personally don't care for fast food burgers or really burgers in general. If I had a choice I rather opt for a burger that's grilled on an actual barbecue.

I live in Columbus, OH the home of Whitey's as it is called here. I tried it once about 15 yrs ago and that was enough. It is considered a food for after the bars close here when the options are super limited. I wish them luck in LV, but folks should know what they are in for. Gourmet it is not.

One thing I find amusing is that many of the newer wannabe-foodie places will have some kind of "sliders" on the menu!

I have about the furthest thing from a cast-iron stomach. There are many foods that give me "issues" White Castle rarely bothers me and I've never had any "issues" with the frozen ones.

Looking so forward to WC's on my trip in 2 weeks! After not having them in about 10 years I can't wait to roll in at about 2 am and enjoy! I'll regret it about 5 hours later but not the first or the last time I'll regret something in Vegas!!

Do you know if they have the veggie burger?
Apparently WC's (no pun intended) are doing that now.

People who write like that are strange... c'mon a food cart in Mumbai? Really? And I know they're just "making a point", but 15 minutes after eating a "portion" of one of the world's smallest burgers... their tummies hurt? Excuse me... "intestinal distress". People like this are why many Yelp reviews are suspect...

I have a White Castle 2 blocks from me and I haven't had one in over 5 years. The last time I had one, yes I was drunk, my farts smelled so bad that they woke me. I decided that no matter how drunk I was I could always get something else to eat.

I remember liking the clam strips and chicken rings at White Castle. But I have an unhealthy affinity for any fried crispy batter dipped things.

Having lived in New York and living in Vegas now.......I'm happy White Castle is finally here.. Not for the burgers though, as I like my burgers big and bloody rare. No fast foot burgers excite me. I actually love their chicken. Their chicken sandwiches and rings are fantastic. That being said, I'm more of drive thru fast food guy. I'm hoping they open a few locations off the strip with a drive thru in the near future.

Alright guys...... I was really looking forward to check out WC but now... Stomach hurts.... Farts that make you wake up... What the hell!? This does not sound very good. What is wrong with their meat? Actually everybody says its totally crap.....

I don't want to feel sick for a half day or even have one of my buddies feeling bad...
