I've stayed at Harrahs in Reno too many times to count. Was thinking of staying across the street at either ElDO or S.L. Has anyone stayed at both properties? If so, which do you prefer?

It has been a long while, but we preferred the rooms at ElDorado to those at SilverLegacy. The rooms at SL are really small. ED had some nicer amenities too.

That said, the casino at SL is our favorite of the three. Go figure. :)

I think they are comparable but I prefer the El Dorado.

    Both beat Harrah's.

Legacy rooms are, as stated, rather standard. I've only stayed in a pimp/ho corner unit at ElDo, with the levitating TV and the magic blinds and such. That was kinda fun. Bathroom was pretty cramped however. To me, Legacy just "feels" newer, maybe cleaner. To me the where of it all is almost moot since they're co-joined. And as said, neither is Harrah's and that's a plus right there. We don't go to Reno often but our stays have been going to Legacy and Grand Sierra. (I can't hang with the layout of Peppermill or the look/aesthetic of Pepp and Atlantis.)

    WPete,
The "standard" room at SL and Eldo are comparable to Harrahs Reno (TINY!) Truthfully, I'd rather stay at CC, simply because the room is larger.
BUUUT, if I had to choose between SL and Eldo, I'd probably choose Eldo.
When are you going? May have to ask the wife if I can go, HAHAHAH!

We're looking at going the weekend of Feb 28. Boomtown is giving us free tix to see Al Stewart. He's not the biggest name in music history, but wouldn't mind seeing him. Besides, it's a weekend an I hear the "All you can eat Lobster" buffet calling my name again.

We'll probably stay at ElDo or Harrahs again. I really like the the look of the Eldo Players Spa Suite. Gonna try to finagle a good price, but since it's a weekend, probably not. Might end up over at Harrahs looking at their crappy wall art.
