Isn't the Flamingo pet friendly? If you are there on a comp do you have to pay a deposit if bringing a small dog?

The boarding place my parents usually leave their little chi mix is booked solid for spring break. I suggested bringing him since we are checking them into our comp there for the week. Where in heck does a dog do their business on the LV strip?

They have specific pet friendly rooms you need to book as far as I know. I assume they have a spot for a litter box or something. When you look at the rooms when booking I think they're labelled Pet Stay or some language like that.

They have some rooms. They cost significantly more at retail like $50 more a night at full price. Max 2 dogs...weight limit per dog: 50 lbs.

And here is the policy specifics.

    DOG POLICY
Guests traveling with their dog will be asked to fill out a waiver form accepting responsibility for any damage or cleaning charges that may occur while at the Hotel. A credit card is required at check in and a $100 per day deposit will be charged to the credit card. Debit cards or cash is not accepted. Dogs are only allowed in specified guestrooms and guests must make reservations in advance to travel with their dog. The Hotel only allows dogs that weigh less than 50 pounds each and up to two-dogs are allowed per room. Check in time for PetStay rooms is 4pm, dog owners must be prepared to accommodate your dogs until your room is ready. Dogs are the only animals allowed under the PetStay program. Dogs must be kenneled when unattended in the room & be kenneled or out of the room during housekeeping (Housekeeping may be scheduled at your convenience, but housekeeping must be allowed to service your guest room at a minimum of every other day). Rental kennels may be available for an additional charge, please contact the front desk for rates and availability. Please note, excessively noisy dogs will need to be removed and boarded off property at the owner's expense.

They have to be kenneled when unattended...makes sense, but that would bug me. As for potty places, they have them somewhere on property. For Flamingo, I'd assume somewhere in the habitat.

He weighs literally around 6 lbs and has a tiny kennel that he loves so none of that is a problem. I wonder if they would let us have a pet Stay room on a comp.

Thanks for that btw, good info!

Why do you have to get a Pet Stay room? Whenever the maid comes in i would imagine you would take him out with you. There is no mess from the dog, just the humans. The dog is tiny, he loves the kennel, i don't see why you need to get a Pet Stay room for a little itty bitty pooch.

I agree but I would think they could find out somehow...rather be safe than sorry. He does shed quite a bit for a little guy!

If you get caught, yeah, it probably costs you big too. And possibly easier to prove than the smoking/weed fee in NS rooms. If he is truly quiet even when alone (and how do you know for sure?), you might get away with it if you kept the DND sign up. But that is probably as big of a gamble as the slots.

It's still possible that you could get the Pet Stay comped. Comping that and paying for the standard room may be a better play if you cant get both. I think I would randomly test on a future date without unbooking your room yet and see what they offer. But I read "Spring Break" on your sig so that could be a bad time as well. Looks like pre March Madness though, so it's probably not bad.

My current g/f and select others are significantly allergic to pets...that's one good reason. I myself am mildly allergic. Hell, a rebound girl from my ex-fiancee had to use an inhaler to handle my cats at the time. That girl was a trooper for coming over!

We always bring our dog to vegas. You need to make sure you book a pet friendly room. We always book it on comp. They hold the deposit on credit card. I have never been charged anything. they set you up with a dog bowl and bag of treats. Make sure you bring something you can secure your dog in when maids clean the room. They try to get you to rent one if you don't have one. All CET properties have an area for dogs to visit. They will provide a map at check in. We bring baggies for the buffet because our dog likes bacon or prime rib so we take some back for him.

I think you are right about being upfront regarding the dog in the room - makes sense for many reasons and I would not want to have to worry about being "found out".

    Have fun!!

If you go the booking site and do the rate calendar, you will see that most of the CET hotels have "Pet Rooms". They show if comped, discounted, etc.

And, if somebody else is staying in YOUR comp, I would surely get a pet room. You do not want somebody else getting into some issue for being in a regular room.

    Thank you. That sounds good.

I'm not sure yet if they are bringing him, but it's always good to know in advance. How cute that your doggie gets to sample the buffet too!

I think it would be silly to try and hide having a dog at a hotel which clearly has pet rooms and accepts pets with a deposit. I was just curious about it since it would be on a comped stay. A held deposit is no problem.

And, it's my parents so I'm not worried about them using our comp. We will be there too but staying on our Mlife comp at MGM at the same time. I thought it would be nice for them to be able to come with us and not have to pay anything but the resort fee for 4 nights. It worked out good.

Still hoping that their boarding place has a cancellation since I know my mom will worry about him all the time they are not in the room!
