Does this guarantee that this will be a downtown hotel? I'd love to know which hotel but can't find on BidGoggles - amenities are: Fitness center, free parking, pet friendly, internet, pool, suite, restaurants, casino, business center. It says that this hotel charges approximately $28 resort fee, but I don't see any downtown hotels with that much of a resort fee. Can anyone help figuring this out? It says it is 80% recommended.

I would not think West of the Strip would be downtown. $28 resort fee sounds like the Rio to me.

Okay, now I see that Downtown was a subcategory of west of strip. I found 4 downtown, but they are all 3 stars - 1 85% recommended, $48 a night.

I think it's the Downtown Grand - says resort fees are $18, and the list I found says The Grand has $18.

Actually if you look at vegas maps downtown is north of the strip. I don't know how they can call downtown west of the strip IMHO. The web site that the Captain mentions downtown as a separate area (not north, nor west).

We have a thread here which lists the resort fees:

It shows that the Rio and the Palms both charge $28 a night (incl tax) so it could be either hotel. The DTG only charges $20 a night incl taxes so I doubt it would be the $28 a night place. The Rio web site also says that it is pet friendly, the Palms web site doesn't say it is pet friendly so I would think this offer is for the Rio. I can't find whether the DTG is pet friendly, don't see it on their site.

If you are looking for a downtown hotel I wouldn't take a chance on this reservation because it may not be for downtown. This is JMHO so up to you.
