Lots of happy folks here in Columbus, OH today. Even if you are not a Buckeye fan the story of a third string QB winning a National Championship is interesting!

I was home here in Cleveland and spirits were high all day and night. I even burned a few cars to celebrate.

I have to say that Urban Meyer is one hell of a coach; although I thought it was classless to go for that last touchdown when OSU could have just taken a knee and run out the clock.

I didn't find that classless at all. Many of those kids are playing for Ohio State in their last game ever. Those kids deserve to play until the clock runs out.

I was in the Mandalay Bay sports book the evening Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech, Michigan State lost to Oregon, and Michigan lost to Notre Dame. The Big 10 was taking a beating and so was my bankroll. Never would have projected a finish like the Buckeyes had. Amazing! No issues with that last touchdown either.

I state this UP FRONT ------->>>I DESPISE , I mean REALLY HATEOSU MSU and Michigan.. THAT SAID OSU could have put 60 on Oregon if they didn't a GAGILLION turnovers and deserve KUDOS. for an IMPOSSIBLE RUN. Meyer simply put is THIS GENERATIONS PATERNO ( meaning kiddies or you younger folks) given any amount of time he will find a way to beat ANYONE because of the TALENT he has...Now I will talk about THAT, the TALENT...MOST soothsayers and football folk thought OSU was a YEAR OR 2 AWAY from big things...AND they SUPPOOSELY are gonna have ANOHER BIG recruiting class if ya believe those things... THAT is BLEEPING SCARY....and take a look and next years schedule..SCARY... And Meyer will be like WOODY HAYES and build a FENCE around that GREAT Ohio talent and pick the great kid from NJ CALI and FLA will wind up there because MEYER is a GREAT COACH and ....as long as MEYER CHOOSES TO STAY at OSU.. will be ALWAYS in the national championship thought.. And it PAINS me to say that..But the football universe has switched from Tuscaloosa o Columbus..

I was rooting for Oregon but I'm glad it wasn't a team from the SEC that won.

Ohioan rooting for the Ducks (unti they drop that ridiculous "THE" from OSU's supposed name), but they won fair and square and at least they're not in the SEC.

I'm not an OSU fan but I can say that I've never been prouder or happier to see a team win a national championship that I'm not a rabid fan of. Also, it was so freaking enjoyable to watch a national championship game without the announcers fawning all over the SEC. Well done OSU!!!!!

The line was +6 and the ML was +180. It wasn't quite the value I was looking for, so I took the points.

Urban Meyer brought the SEC style with him to Ohio. They might as well be an SEC team.

getting 6 wouldn't have been enough for me, I thought OSU was going to win outright (B1G homer) so I would have for sure played the moneyline

did this a few years ago on NFL Championship weekend, bet the Cardinals moneyline +185 vs. Eagles and won a nice chunk of change that day to the chagrin of Eagles fans all throughout ESPN Zone

The Final Four had all of the teams I hate the most in NCAA football.

    By ranking of hate:

    1. Alabama (I hate that smug attitude of their fans).

    2. Ohio State (I agree, I hate that THE Ohio State University shit. Also very smug fans).

    3. Oregon (I hate them because of their collection of goofball uniforms. Playing wise, they are what the Philadelphia Eagles are supposed to look like, most of the time anyway, although it seems they have my Eagles' penchant for choking at precisely the wrong moment).

    4. Florida State (I hate them because Bobby Bowden used to be their coach and many of the players are hoodlums, always have been).

Breeze, you hit it on the head about OSU fans. SOOOOOOO obnoxious. I have been in Columbus on game weekends. If not for the fans, I might still root for OSU. I used to.

My distaste for the SEC and specifically Alabama is mostly about the fawning media Mike mentioned. FSU makes my hate list because of that damned chop.

Oregon? Neat uni's, players with skill and good character, PAC NW a place I like to be- I like 'em.

Agreed about OSU fan behavior. I'm an Ohio State season ticket holder and I cringe at some of the fan behavior when I take my 10 year old son to night games. Not the most mature group. But then again I drunk urinated all over that campus when I attended. Go Bucks.

Eugene's a fun town. Kinda miss it at times. Agree about the PNW in general. I'm back on my Bend kick again, too. Since Terri is going to Australia for Thanksgiving I'm going northward to catch USC at Autzen the Saturday before and the Civil War the Friday after!!!

Breeze, you sure seem to hate an awful lot of stuff. These teams. 76ers. Holidays. We gotta lighten you up, son. Get you havin' some fun.
