Anyone know if it affects your ADT if you use CET reward credits for a meal comp on the morning of checkout? I probably should have asked this before this past weekend's trip.

Highly doubt it..The RC's are just your credits that you already earned in the past.Whatever amount/hours you gambled is locked in and nothing to do with RC's spent..

Negative, anytime you use your card for anything, and don't gamble that day, it affects your ADT. In the system at least, but if a host looks at your account, they will look pass the no-play on your check-out day as they know that's the norm. This was discussed and confirmed by PHVHost on several other posts.

I think everytime you use your TR card for anything, it triggers a day for ADT purposes, including checking into a diamond lounge, buying a meal, etc.

Agree, I think someone asked Hunter this in his thread and its any card usage impacts it.

I may have been wrong. I went through one of the old threads and found this.

    Hunter

Thank you for answering questions on this board.

If I am not staying at a CET property and use the diamond lounge without playing does it trigger a gambling day and count against my ADT?

    Answer:
No, only if you use your card to play and then not play much after that, or if you lodge and underplay. Using the diamond lounge doesn't impact that, it is a benefit of your previous years or current years play.

Hey Mike, I recall Aaron asking that question. But if you look at the next page, Hunter provides the below response.

    Hunter:
Ok so I have an answer for everyone directly from TR. Any time you use a comp via your players card, whether it is reward credits, meals, anything involving a complimentary, it will trigger a gaming day. Since diamond lounge is considered a complimentary amenity for Diamond guests and above, it too will trigger a gaming day. Hope this clears it up. Please don't shoot the messenger, lol. My account updated and I lost some of my offers because I used RCs for breakfast the morning we checked out. That is the most asinine BS I have ever heard. They punished me for using points I earned the evening before to get breakfast in the morning.

I've never heard of offers being taken away. There is something like a 3 month lag in your ADT reflecting on offers.
    Example.
You had a 2 night stay Dec 29 and 30. You checked out on the 31, didn't gamble, but bought breakfast with your reward credits. You generated $1500 in theo for the 2 days, but you now have to divide that by 3 since you used reward credits on the 31. Your ADT went from $750, to $500. Your offers are not impacted immediately. The lower ADT will impact your offers 3 months out.... april. That assumes you normally had an ADT of $750.

Yeah, there's no way it would update that quickly in the system.

I don't get it then. I was just inputting a four-day offer and it's only letting me have three days. It changed since yesterday and this past weekend was the first time I had played in a while.

Like the others said, your last play in December shouldn't get reflected in your offers until a couple months down the road. What are you trying to do on TR site? I know they were having issues last week as I was trying to look at my AC offers and AC wasn't even an available option. Checked back on Monday and my AC offers were there again. Site has been a bit screwy lately.

Have you tried using the rate calendar instead of an offer?

It is telling me that the offer can't be applied and it's showing me the rate calendar days instead, which is why I think I'm only getting three days. They literally rescinded my offers after this weekend because I had breakfast using reward credits. Amazing. No wonder CET is struggling in the market.

Lately I've seen where there only a limited number of offers per property. The offer still shows in my TR account, but it may be sold out. I've heard that response from both my host and calling directly. I don't think it would be from you having breakfast..........there is a lag.

Have you used the rate calendar and/or offers before? I just tried using an offer also for AC (Ceasars\Harrahs\Ballys) and I receive the follow error "Offer not applicable for selected dates" and I tried a whole bunch of other dates randomly and then even SUN-MON\MON-FRI, all with the same results. My rate shows me all days are comped at all hotels for all rooms. I've seen this before. I usually just wait a day or two later and try again.

It could be because that offer is not good for those dates. CET has been restricting dates offers are good for SEVERELY recently.

But what everyone is saying about it being too soon for it to be your recent play is correct -- there is a 2-3 month lag for your play to begin to effect your offers, so they are not rescinding your offer.

In years past we were able to control our ADT by not playing on check out day (or accessing our comp account in any way), but it now appears that not only do you get dinged for each day you are checked into the hotel, but you are also automatically dinged for checkout day, so on a two night stay if you only play one day it will be divided by three. So, since they're doing that it doesn't really matter if you use your comps for breakfast on checkout day anyway!

BTW, CET is not the only casino hotel chain (or stand alone) automatically adding checkout day as a play day to dilute your average, MGM properties has been doing it for years. I stayed one night at Excalibur in 2008 and asked my host for my stats -- when she rattled them off to me she gave my coin in, time played, theo, and then added over TWO days. I told her I only stayed one night, but she said checkout day is counted, too. Tropicana also adds checkout day.

If the offer still shows up in My Offers, but it won't let you apply it in certain circumstances, there should be some reason, like:

    • One of the dates in your desired stay is a blackout date
    • All of your stay dates are not within the offer period
    • You have another reservation with a date within 2 days of your arrival or checkout date.
