OK, I took out a 40 year old shirt to show my loyalty to the Ducks for tonight's CFB game.

    I'm amazed that:

    1)It survived 40 years
    2)It still (sorta) fits

I am with ya. I have no allegiance to Oregon other than I like watching them play and I want them to win because Chip Kelly is there tonight

Since my rooting interests are gone, and since Ohio State is second to Texas in my teams I root against. Go Ducks !!!

I will be staying at GN on 1/23 and maybe 24th, I see you are going to be at the D. I will have my VMB wrist band and a Razorback cap on, usually at craps table. say hi if you see me.

After years of Toilet Bowls and getting hammered 66-0 ...

Where's the guy who a few months back posted the Ducks were a dead-nuts LOCK to crater? The guy with all the inside knowledge?? lol

Just glad to see a second, and now proper, Rose Bowl being played this year. And thank god for the "playoff" system or we'd have been stuck with 'Bama and FSU.

    P.S.

Congrats to the Buckeyes and Buckeyes fans. The pundits wrote you off most of the year, said you weren't grade-A material. Way to show them up!

Halftime. Not looking good, but it's a 60 minute game. Should I take the shirt off?

I'd probably argue that the more talented team was Oregon but the better coached team was Ohio State.

Definitely a great game and awesome end to the season. Both teams should be proud and congrats to fans. College football achieved a major milestone tonight.

Oregon just couldn't tackle or stop the running game today.

I saw the same issues with Oregon tonight that I see with the Eagles.

Tempo offense is good when you're clicking.

But if you're not moving the ball then your defense will get worn down. Oregon (and the Eagles) will get worn down easy when the 3 and outs are happening. Plus the spread offense leaves a lot to be desired in the red zone if you cannot get any push up front.

Ohio State played fantastic. Jones and Elliot were outstanding.

Thank goodness the playoff spared us FSU-Bama for the title.

I may be biased but the better team won. When you're -4 on turnovers and still pistol-whip the opposition, it's a blowout. Marcus Mariota was the best QB on the field but Ohio State had the best team.

I know Coach Meyer didn't throw a pass or run the ball, but you just can't convince me coaching doesn't matter. As a life long Buckeye fan (grew-up in Akron), I'm so pleased with what this team has become in the past couple seasons. I look forward to some more "Urban Warfare" next season!!!!

I guess the #B1G conference wasn't so terrible after all now was it. Well done OSU.

I have to give it to OSU they deserved the win. As much as I dislike Urban Meyer he is a very very good coach.

I actually think Oregon is more talented and probably the better team overall. I just don't think the coaches got the players ready and didn't put them into a position to win. The defense generated 4 turnovers. That's unbelievable in a championship game. You're not losing too many games with that many turnovers generated. Besides, Jones vs Mariotta? That's not even a contest.

IMHO, the coaching is why Ohio State won that game. They got those kids to play with a lot of heart and they put them in the best position to win.

With Franklin at Penn State and Harbaugh at Michigan the war is inevitable and will be entertaining.

Thanks man - yeah me and my buddies were texting last night about how similar the Ducks looked to the Eagles when they hit their low points throughout the season.

I think the Oregon/Kelly offense can be successful because that fast tempo will wear a defense out. The Eagles had the Cowboys sucking wind on Thanksgiving. But they were executing flawlessly that day. Start having guys dropping balls or the OL not clearing out holes for that read option and you're going to wear your own defense out.

I felt bad for Mariota because he seems like a great dude...its a shame he's not going to get to play for Chip in the NFL! Unless he drops to the 10-12th area where the Eagles can realistically trade up.
