Marriott Points to Cosmopolitan Identify Points Conversion

Hi all.

I just noticed on Vegas Chatter that as of Jan. 2014, Cosmopolitan will convert Marriott Points into Identity Points. Does anyone have any experience with this - I wasn't able to find any discussion on the Board?

Specifically, what's the conversion ratio? And, does anyone know if Identity Points can be used for free play? If the answers are 1:1 and yes, I'm a low roller who's bankroll just increased by like $3000 for a trip I have later this week! (I basically live at a Marriott for work right now).

I've done the conversion before and it's not 1:1, see the poster above. You can use the points for free play or resort spending. 100 points is $1 of free play or resort spending.

 

Thanks both! Sounds like I'll cash some of them in for $ and save the rest for a vacation sometime. Conversion ratio isn't wonderful - but I guess it makes sense since it is so much easier to earn Marriott points (something like 20 points/$1 with status and credit card).
