Another vote here for the Orleans and MSS.

I would also consider Tuscany. Played triple play on the floor with a bartender I know there and got amazing drink service. Love the 4 Queens bartops as well

Red Rock for a beautiful casino. Orleans for good BJ and VP games and food options.
The M is along the lines of Red Rock. Beautiful and higher clientale.

Any of the bigger casinos off-strip generally provide for better gambling. I always rent a car and I rarely gamble on the strip anymore. My favorites include South Point (probably the best VP tables in LV), Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock, and Aliante. These casinos all have great rooms, food, and the best gambling in Vegas. I used to be a diamond player at Harrah's/Caesers, but haven't played there at all the past few years, and have seen many more successful trips since staying off Strip.

I can't answer to the cocktail service at machines since we typically play our VP at the bar, but we like Suncoast out in Summerlin. We stayed there for 5 days up to and including new years. The bartenders are all friendly and we enjoyed our time. Cocktail service at the tables seems ok as they came by with regularity while we were playing the $5 Pai Gow table. My only beef with the place is the food options. We ate in the cafe and had mediocre service and food once, and dismal service the next time we tried it. Our food arrived cold after we had to ask about it. We just left (they told us they comped us our coffee, yay) Buffet is average off-strip fare. I did, however, have a very good burger upstairs at the bowling alley snack bar of all places... However, we can deal with the so-so food options. Our room was fantastic, just renovated. We were the first people to stay in it since it was done. Still had a touch of the new carpet smell. It was very roomy, had floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the golf course, and a bathroom bigger than mine at home. Even double sinks. If they throw us comps again we will stay there again

We love the Orleans. Good food and inexpensive buffet. Drink service is always pretty quick and friendly. I love the Gold Coast and usually win there, but it's way too smokey for me!

Wife and I's favorite OffStrip is hands-down Sam's Town...
The large indoor atrium makes it very nice to walk through and any time of day...
The only drawback is location (Noticed JUST how far out it is recently when riding the High Roller), as well as clientele (VERY geriatric set)
But for someone who's been to Vegas as much as we have...and who just wants to relax and gamble and drink, it fits the bill nicely (Low Limits, Great Comps, Good food value)

My favourite non-Strip casino has to be the The Orleans! The atmosphere is great and they seem to have all the machines that I like to play. Also, I always feel like I have a chance to win there, and I don't have that feeling at any of the other casinos that I go to. I don't know, I guess it's just the vibe of the place that brings me back.

That would be Jokers Wild on Boulder Hwy. in Henderson for their low minimum table games. They still have $1 minimum on craps with 10X odds all the time. Perfect for a cheapskate like me.

Sams Town has a good variety of slots that I like. Drink service is inconsistently consistent but usually frequent, even in the low limit area. Ditto for Gold Coast and Orleans.

Aliante also has a good slot selection. It's worth stopping in if you are in the area but not worth a special trip.

Kind of a sleeper in the mix is the original Arizona Charlies over on Decatur. Last time we were there the drink service was a DUI summons just waiting to happen! :) :) :)
