I have 2 rooms booked but we were looking to add a third and for some reason it's sold out that night - but available the 17th and 19th. Is something going on there that anyone know about?

World Market Center has a big winter wing-ding bringing approximately 50,000 people to town on Jan. 18-22nd. The Nugget usually benefits mightily from anything over there.

I think that's it, as forget a comped room, the rates are completely jacked up that weekend in AC, also.

Besides the 3-day weekend, it probably also didn't hurt that the two NFL Conference Championship games (AFL/NFC) played today -- the 18th - and is reasonable that people wanted to bet, watch, drink, and sleep it off all in one place.
