LAS bound flight returns to airport

    A Virgin Atlantic flight (Boeing) from Gatwick to LAS had problems with its landing gear and had to circle the London area for a period of time before being able to land. Maybe Virgin will do something real nice for them free tickets / voucher. Hope they get to LAS for NYE.

    Hopefully they landed safely.

    Gatwick is a much better airport than Heathrow. I hate that dump.

    Doubt there was ever any real danger. Planes dump fuel and land quick if they are in real problems :)

    Exactly, they knew there wasn't any real danger. It's not very environmentally friendly to spew a load of Jet A fuel into the sky but if they thought they were going to crash you can be sure they'd spray it everywhere and head straight for a runway.
