Can anyone recommend anywhere right on the strip where there are real, authentic Cuban Sandwhiches? If they are good that is a plus :evillaugh

    Thanks. :peace:

Hey Mike, I was checking out Vital Vegas and they say that a new restaurant called Tom's Urban is opening tommorrow at NYNY. A look at their menu shows they have a Carnitas Cuban Sandwich for $15.

You can be one of the first to try it!

It's hard to read the ingredients in the photo but I see it comes with swiss cheese, mustard, pickled onion, kosher dill on sourdough. I've never tried a Cuban sandwich. What kind of meat is in it?

    Hi mike

They aren't authentic (bread is a pretzel roll instead of traditional Cuban bread) but I loved the Cuban sandwich at Snacks at Bellagio. (Snack bar close to sports book).

Is Florida Cafe at HoJo's still open? Sadly, Rincon Criollo is no more. However, for those concerned with certain silly matters of hygienic practices, that might be a good thing.

Bahama Breeze across the street from Silver Sevens. It is 9.99 . It's a little off strip but not too far.
I am a local and its a favorite of mine.

Hey Gambler, thanks for the scoop. A Cuban has pork, ham, cheese, pickle and mustard. The key ingredient, that separates the posers from the real ones, is Cuban bread that is pressed in a sort of iron press to heat the bread, compress the bread and warm up the sandwhich. Try a cuban with some black beans and you're in for a real treat. If Sandwhiches are your thing give it a go. Cheers!!! :peace:

No problem and FYI they have black beans as well. My other favorite there is the pulled pork appetizer comes with
black beans corn and BBQ sauce on top of grilled plantains.
