    My Trip Report

On my way tomorrow to Vegas to celebrate New Year's Eve at Aria, but finally finished my Thanksgiving trip report. My son lost his wallet in a Taxi the night he arrived so some might find this TR interesting because I have a list of all the taxi companies and their phone numbers in a photo, also I can tell you what really happens when you have no ID at Mccarran airport and what the process is to get yourself through security. I say really happens because prior to going to the airport we had spoken by phone to the Las Vegas Police office via their non-emergency line, hotel security, and called up Southwest and were given not only conflicting instructions but wrong information.

For those who don't care or need lost wallet info, there is plenty of food porn from various restaurants, we stayed at both Cosmopolitan and Palazzo. Went to the Grazie Gift Show and also to the Bellagio Art Gallery to see the Faberge Revealed Exhibit. Went to Menopause the Musical and Human Nature. Have a couple videos of two new slots Willy Wonka, Imagination Slot and a new Wizard of Oz slot, in addition to some vids of older slots.

    Cheers and Happy New Year!

    Hi Diana

Thanks for the report! I went to the Faberge exhibit with my mom in December and we both enjoyed it. Loved the video of the new wizard of oz slot...I'll look for it when I return MLK weekend.

Good luck on your next trip and Happy New Year!

    Karhy

As to ID and TSA - I would guess that well over 95% of people think you MUST have ID to get through. Nope. You are not required by law to have an ID. But it sure helps.

Yikes!! $22 for 6 pieces of asparagus. I enjoy high end food but sometimes feel that even though I can afford the bill, I'm being cheated. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Reminds me of another trip report I read recently where a group of six arrived early to a restaurant and were asked if they wanted a quick champagne drink in the bar. They went over for a few minutes and 4 had the champagne and two, highballs. Went they went to leave they were given a bill for close to $200.
As a vegas foodie, what is your take on this type of pricing?

Loved your tr as usual. Even though we just finished dinner an hour ago, I could eat again after seeing all your outstanding food photos.

Happy New Year! I will be following your NY journey as my countdown moves closer to Jan 11 -my next trip!

    Cable Cars

The. Cable cars are the best drink and a specialty of the Bellagio! The bartenders who have been employed there the longest seem to make the drink better. Nothing like comped Cable Cars at the video poker bar to brighten your day! Heading to the airport for a visit as I type.

Thanks Kathy. Are you doing the February Bellagio slot tournament?

Happy New Year to you too!

The TSA agents we talked to after they had cleared our son said it can be rough with the person who lost their ID is a young adult as some of them when asked a parent's birthday can't remember the answer. LOL!

I love Cut and eat there a lot and have never had this issue with them prior to this but the price for the side of asparagus was too high. It didn't seem to have anything with it that would account for such a high price for a small side. Of course I should have asked the price if I was concerned about it and not assumed it was the price of the sides on the menu. I will continue to eat at Cut but if I ever again order a special not on the menu I'll be sure I know the price before ordering it. :)

Thanks for letting me know you enjoy them. :) Happy New Year!

Same here, it's been way too long now since we've had a drink or lunch together. When you have some dates for 2015 send me a PM so we can compare and see if anything matches up. :)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year to you!

Thanks, always great to hear. Happy New Year to you too! Have a fun and winning trip in January!

Have a great trip and many Cable Cars! If you recognize me from the blog photos and see me in one of the casinos please say hi.

I've often wondered about tsa with no ID.

Sounds like it's not as hellish as I thought.

    Thanks for the TR!
