Dead at age 70. A damn good entertainer, IMHO.

I'm kinda surprised he was only 70... I thought he looked well into his 60's over 30 years ago!!!! What a treat to watch perform though... talk about feeling every note and word.

I picture John Belushi doing Cocker - classic SNL fare.

Goes to show you don't need a good voice to be a good singer. Do it with emotion and people listen.

We're losing many great performers who started in the 50's and 60's ,people us older folk have enjoyed over our lifetimes.
The two that I hated to see pass that we lost in the last couple of years are Levi Stubbs and Johnny Maestro. Hopefully some people will recognize the names and appreciate the great artists they were.

I didn't know he was British. I would sing "You Are So Beautiful" to my daughters when they were babies, I figured if Joe Cocker could do it, why not me? I recently saw his Woodstock performance of "With a Little Help From My Friends", pretty awesome. RIP Joe!
