How many of you out there like to take solo trips? I personally like going with friends or family, but sometimes I need that Vegas fix and I'll take a solo trip. I just got back from my 7th trip (3rd solo) and some people at work looked at me funny when I told them I went alone. Is it weird to go alone? Sometimes I'd rather go alone than go with some of the people I did spend time with out there.

I am planning a March trip but once again I'm having a tough time finding a travel buddy, so it looks like another solo outing.

I mostly go solo, who cares what people that go to LV maybe twice in 5 years think?

This year at NYE it will be my 12th trip this year.

The trips have varied between 1 day and 3 days. Half of them have been with my best buddy, and half of them have been solo.

I have no problem going solo and it gives me more opportunity to "hunt" for fun!

Solo? Great opportunity to do what you want at your leisure....eating at the bar is actually fun if you choose to do so. Who are these people to whom you refer and when do you actually expect to see them again on future trips? Go and have fun. If nothing else Vegas is where you can go and not be judged or judgmental...unless you really just have to do it.

I have travelled a few times to Vegas solo and preferred it to a couple of trips where my travelling companions weren't "a good fit" for Vegas. I do enjoy being able to do whatever I want whenever I want but still prefer travelling with my husband and the friends who are great Vegas travel companions. There's just something missing without that shared love of Vegas comaraderie.

I definitely like going with friends better, but I'm starting to think Im better off booking solo trips just because it is hard to get people on the same page with dates and plans. I'm looking forward to the next one which will come up quick.

I have never done a solo trip but, have added solo days at the beginning and/or end of buddies or SO trips. that has worked well when there are things you want to do but, others do not. You have your together time and then chill time! It is definitely a place where being solo is no big deal. As others have said, you can do what you want, when you want and how you want except for activities that require two or more...skip that as you can do that too ...for a price!

One thing I started doing a few years ago more by accident initially, was solo golf. Now, I quite enjoy getting out on a late afternoon with a course empty all to myself.

Yeah, but that would suck if you had an ace with no witness! :-(

My BF likes to go but not as often as I do, so I usually go with him once a year, and solo once. I like it when he's with me, but I also really enjoy going solo. Go, have a great time, and who cares what they think!

I don't mind going solo. I have a few locals as friends that i meet up with and usually a few people from another message board would be in town also. if not, hey, i can talk to just about anyone if i choose to...

the people i do go with or meet up with have an understanding.....
if we decide to meet up for dinner or some other activity, we give everyone 15 minutes...if someone doesn't show....no problem. we figure you are on a heater
    or have another activity:wink2:

Nothing wrong with a solo round. And two in a day, getting around in either side of 4:00 ... so very good.

Solo trips can be so much less hassle. Waiting for somebody to show up, trying to find a mutually agreed upon restaurant or strip club... I just go by myself most of the time. I've met some cool folks too, completely randomly. Last trip I was at the Fat Bar, sucking down my umpteenth bloody Mary. Started talking to a lady next to me. Turned out she worked for Sony pictures (financial analyst) and was one of the one's who had her phone and email hacked. She had to use her daughter's phone! What a cool story!

Done it twice now recently and I miss having my gambling buddy next to me to share thoughts on bets,side-by-side VP play, racebook, table play..No one to commiserate the losses with or celebrate the good hands with in person.Sucks but real life gets in the way on planning trips.
It never fails though (on any trip) I do have some very cool encounters with what used to be total strangers and then a few hours later on a first name basis with them and the next day rinsing and repeating...next trip I'll be wearing a VMB band to break the ice a little faster.

I've gone to Vegas ~10 times and all but one of them was solo. My wife and I went together in August 2013 and we had a blast. But, it's hard for our schedules to mesh up for a joint trip; plus, I don't think she likes Vegas nearly as much as I do :) Heading there again solo in 3 weeks.

My last trip was solo, and I had fun. It's nice being able to go where you want when you want. But, there is something about having a warm body to wake up to. :wink2:

Going Vegas Solo is great ! So far I've done 3 Solo trips, more to come.. Don't need to wait for anyone, eat and go where you want and sleep in if you want !
I still wondering how it would be hitting a huge Jackpot and you there all alone !

I enjoy my solo trips very much. I can gamble where I want, however long/short I want and play the games I want. No time tables, schedules or squabbles about where to eat. I go to Las Vegas with the intention of winning and having as much fun as possible. I can still have fun with other people but I've found that when I'm accompanied by others my prospects of winning decrease dramatically. I have a great time traveling to other resort destinations with others, but my Las Vegas trips are for me.

Solo trips are fine and I tend to find are good for myself to just focus on gambling. When you go with friends or family, other activities take up more time and/or allow you to adjust to how you're doing at the table or machine. Don't get me wrong, I had fun in Vegas last year with my wife, but she doesn't gamble as much as me. At least she let me stay at the poker table while she went back to the room to sleep.
