Has anybody stayed at the one bedroom at Palms Place? The online virtual tour and pics look really nice. large 1200 sq feet, floor to ceiling windows, etc.

I currently have a 3 night reservation at Aria for a Deluxe City View Room. But I was thinking of swapping the 3rd night for a night at the Palms Place one bedroom for only $100 more than the 3rd night price at Aria.

Any advice or recommendations? Should I go for it?

I'm put off by the off-strip aspect. We're pretty much strip people, but the place looks amazing, but hesitant because it's a little hike. We probably won't have a car.

(The plan was to try to do a paid upgrade to a nice suite at Aria when we check in - I'm Gold mLife so I don't know if that helps or not. But the 3rd night is the night before NYE so that would make it less likely to get a good upgrade for all 3 nights. Switching to Palms Place the 3rd night would guarantee us a super nice place for the 3rd night and much better chances of a nice paid upgrade for cheap at Aria if we limit our stay to the 1st two nights.)

But again, it's the near off-strip aspect that makes me hesitate. If it was any other property on the center strip, it would probably be an easy yes. Any thoughts our advice, please?

(Oh... do the Palms Place one bedrooms come with terraces? All the pics and youtube videos seem to have one.)

Edited to add: I've stayed for a night at a panoramic room Encore, and really liked it. But it feels really far away from everything. I would probably not stay again that far north at WynCore unless it was a suite. I've stayed at Palazzo before and that still feels a little far, but more doable and closer to more places.

The risk taker in me says to take a chance and just go for it. Might be an awesome experience at a super nice 1200 sq ft luxury one bedroom.

Well your in luck, I have stayed at Palms Place one bedroom last year and it was great, well at least the room. The common areas such as hallways looked kinda beat up, and some rumors on other sites
suggest that they had security problems with their parking for Palms Place self park. It's a short cab ride to the strip, or you can walk over to the Rio and ride the CET shuttle.

They have terraces, we had a corner unit which had them on both sides of unit. I like playing at Palms, and even though the place is showing its age a little, there is still plenty at the property. I could
easily do a week in a 1 bedroom suite as my home base. Its not high end luxury, but the place reminds me of a nice modern high rise apartment you would find in another major city.

The search function on this forum sort of sucks.

Palms Place, the only problem we had was with the Wi Fi. My wife and I stayed there in May 2014.

The Palms offers a free shuttle to Caesars from 10 AM to 8 PM

The Gold Coast offers a free shuttle to Orleans and Ballys starting at 8 AM to 1 AM? 10 minute walk if you walk average pace to get to from the Palms. I do it in under 5 minutes.

The Rio offers a free shuttle to Harrah's and Bally's starting at 9 AM to 2 AM? 15 minute walk if you walk average pace to get to from the Palms. I do it in under 10 minutes.

Since you don't have to pay for a cab, I always tip 1 buck each way per person.

If ours had a terrace, I never found out. Spending time in my room is never a goal of mine. This was my one and only time staying at Palms Place. I usually stayed at the original Palms Tower with two times at the Fantasy Tower.

If you want Palms advice Breanna(forget her total forum name), Paperposter, and I are probably the ones that know the most about the Palms.

I started going to the Palms in 2001.

Simon's Restaurant in the Palms Place is pretty good. I always enjoy the Rijo Bar in Palms Place because it is usually empty and I get all the bartender's attention.

N9NE Steakhouse is an excellent steak house at Palms Tower. My favorite restaurant is still Alize on top of the Palms Tower. Nove Italiano on top of the Fantasy Tower is ok.

In May the restaurant 24/7 must have hired a new cook, because the eggs benedict was back to being delicious. My wife, my son, and I all love 24/7 for breakfast.

You can click on my forum name and find all the threads I HAVE STARTED and read up on the palms if you so choose.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom back in 2012. I say go for it, but I've never stayed at Aria. You will have lots of room in the 1Bdrm. Our view was amazing. We could see everything from Mandalay Bay to the Plaza downtown. I think all suites may be on a corner but request to be sure.

Don't expect access to the terrace. Almost all are locked.

Casino was ok, drink service decent, around 2-3am they really wet down those that tip.

    Aces and faces!

This is all super helpful. Thanks a lot!

We actually spend a decent amount of time in the room especially since we're not gamblers. It's nice to have friends over and enjoy cocktails in a nice place before heading out. We've done that at a Cosmo Wraparound Terrace, hotel32 loft, SKYLOFTS and several other nice suites in the strip. Sounds like the one bedroom at plans place will be nice for that as well!

    Hi MAC ...

Stay tuned ... I will post a video of my stay at PALMS place. I had a regular room booked -- and because I had to wait in line for a while ... they upgraded me to PALMS PLACE ... uh, pool table, swimming pool on the balcony. I was out of my mind! I'm planning to call it LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND SHAMUS! :)
