    My Trip Report

Dec 10-13. I am going to attempt live updates. After getting my ass kicked in July and October I was going to skip our annual December trip during NFR. Hubby is working and the wounds are still fresh. Then along comes RF with his tale of a victory come-back and the next thing I know, I'm booked for a solo trip. I was double booked Cosmo and Trop but cancelled Cosmo reservation when I learned some friends from Kansas are in town and staying at Trop. Another Vegas Board friend is in town and also booked at Trop.

Air - I have a gift card I received as a retirement gift when I retired in February for Air Canada so used that and am booked on Air Canada FU Rouge. I booked a shuttle to Toronto Airport worrying about driving alone in a blizzard, so of course the weather here is great. I have to get up at stupid o'clock then kill 3.5 hours in the airport now as the next shuttle would be cutting it too close.

Tropicana - My host has me booked 3 nights comped in a Bungalow Pool Suite. I hope it's the suite from our July trip (photos below). Loved that suite! He comped 3 tickets to the Laugh Factory as well.

    Shows
Laugh Factory Dec 10 with my friends from Kansas
Jan Rouven's Illusions on Dec 11 (groupon)
Raiding the Rock Vault Dec 12 (groupon)
Meeting a board friend for dinner at Biscayne Steak and Sea tomorrow night for dinner.

I plan to do most of my gambling at Cosmo, Cromwell, Palms, Mandalay and of course Tropicana.

Here's hoping I have a little Flusher come-back in me!

So rare we hear much about Tropicana. What little time I've spent at Trop lately has been very enjoyable, so looking forward to your TR. Good luck!

    That suite looks really nice.

Remember, it's not whether you win or lose, it's how much fun you have and how great comps you get.

But if you do win, I'm going all Sharon Stone on you. "I WANT MY END!"

A little worried about Air Canada FU Rouge after reading your reports RF; typically we use Westjet out of Toronto or Southwest out of Buffalo. Hope I can sleep on the plane because I sure can't fall asleep now.

Is Air Canada Jazz still a thing? I still get aeroplan emails many years after my one and only trip on air canda.

It sure is. I fly them out of Flusherville to Toronto. Little rubber band driven hopper.

    Nice suite at the Trop.

Have your iPad loaded with whatever to pass the time. No extras on that plane. Better have some food too, they ran out on my Vegas to Toronto flight.

Have a great time and the luck of the Flushers to you.

The houston to Toronto flight is considered regional as well. Little puddle jumper. Considering the distance and they are two major cities really confused me.

Sitting at Toronto airport, having a final Timmy's. Only managed an hour of sleep last night so hoping I sleep through the flight. Should have drank last night as I sleep well on a plane if I'm hungover.

Wow, I love that room, so it has direct access to the pool?

    I would love that.

Good luck and get your money back (and some of theirs)!!!

Looks like the Air FU Canada Rude flight got away a blistering 24 minutes late - that's some kind of a record (and very much par for the course).

On The Way! (234 km down; 2,890 km to go)

Now I have something to watch on my phone while the grommets pile up.

Finally on the patio enjoying my first cold beer.

Flight left 35 minutes late. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]The lady in front of me on the plane marinaded in cheap perfume. Clusterfuck at McCarran when I followed the crowd mindlessly to the tram to baggage claim at T1, only to have to shuttle to T3 to get my luggage.

Feels good to sit out in sleeveless top watching the lawn being cut at the pool. It really is lovely at Trop pool; feels like a vacation in the islands.

Gotta finish this beer and get my gamble on! Biscayne and Laugh Factory tonight.

Yes direct access with a lock on the gate that you control. It is really awesome! My host arranged a BBQ right on our terrace for my husband's 50th in July. I'll post some photos of that when I get back. They brought in all the food, BBQ's and waiters and cleaned it all up. My kind of party and especially great in July with everyone able to access the pool. We had a blast. Best party I ever hosted.
