    My Trip Report

I decided to give this live trip report a try. Since I am already here, I guess I am already behind. and BTW, I am already in few drinks in, so pardon the spelling, grammar.. well everything...

I have had enough of all the family holiday stuff and needed a break so I scheduled another "work" trip to Vegas. Just a couple nights but enough to get me through the holidays. Landed today and will be here through Thursday lunch. If anyone is around and would like to grab a drink, it is on me.

Saying at the SkyLofts again, I just love these rooms and the service is next to none.

The flight was on time and a great front end seat. I fly a lot for work and generally get upgrade on most flights and for the most part, the people in first class are frequent travelers. Well today, we had 2 couples and appeared to be on their first first class flight, however they must have booked it last minute. they all had window seats in different rows. I guess they asked a couple people to switch and no one would. Most frequent flyers want that isle seat and won't change. The women in these couples, were very vocal about the fact that the couple guys wouldn't switch with them ... and continue throughout the flight and even into the terminal at the other end. I found it amusing as one of the husbands sat night to me on the window and never even asked me to move... I don't think he wanted to be anywhere near his wife.

Driver found me quickly and recognized me and gave me a big hug (yes, it was a woman). I didn't think I spent that much time here but I must have made some sort of impression (maybe that is where my money went from the previous trip.. jk.. I know she wouldn't have kept it). She had one the new 2015 RR. Still had that new car smell but we were going to fix that.

As you can guess .. we were going to make an In-and-Out run.

Got my Double Double fix and we were headed to the MGM.

Got checked into the loft. Nice 1 Bedroom.

After getting a few emails out, decided to head downstairs for a drink and a little VP.

    Did the Vegas wallet change...

    and headed to Whisky Down

Started right in with the Fire in the Hole drinks

Started playing DDB at the bar tops. Started at $1 couldn't win moved to $2 and still no luck back to $1 ... so after about 5 of those drinks and $1K loss I decided to move on.... I figure those were pretty expensive drinks but I am not giving up.....

I am sure this has been done but I figure I would make this a little interactive. I am looking for suggestions on dinner tonight. I am open to any MGM Resorts property. If there is someplace you wanted to find out about or just a quick recommendation, I am all for it. Probably leaning to something outside of MGM Grand but always an option. I am solo this trip, so I figure I can get a bar seat just about anywhere. I will check back in a few and pick a place .... thanks in advance.

L'Atelier at MGM. Julian Serrano or Javier's at Aria. Picasso or Guy Savoy at Bellagio.

Good luck! Looking forward to the VP porn!

Thanks for the recommendations. Trying to get out of the MGM so going to pass on those. Have really enjoyed all the others in the past but decided to give Heritage a shot. Let's hope I made a good choice.

Nice hit Riders. Really enjoying the live report and also liked your other recent report. Glad you are about even, have heard Heritage Steak is very good. Show the LIR tables who is boss this time!

Thanks. I will see just how long I keep it up.

BTW - I have never seen so many cowboy hats in one place. They even forced the poor MGM Lion to wear one.
