Hello, Does anyone might know what room you get when you book a MGM comp room on myvegas and how many beds it has, 1 or 2?
You get a standard room. King (1 bed) or Queen (2 beds) When you reserve it you can ask for one or two beds.
the MyVegas reward gives you the West Wing King which is a VERY small room in the old part of the hotel...It is listed at 350 square feet and I sincerely doubt it's even 300 ... We did not like this "free" room at all having come from Mandalay Bay and then back to the Delano which is simply lovely now!!. You can try to upgrade to the Grand King but it really depends who you get at the front desk because the woman we got told us they were fully booked, however she then told me I could have paid her $30 a night for the upgrade. So obviously one of the world's largest hotels was NOT sold out!! If room size and decor are not an issue for you and you don't mind walking a very long way to the West Wing/pool and to the casino and restaurants, then it will be fine. But I won't stay here again. Room is so tiny very difficult for 2 to get around, one small closet, one chair that is in the way to the bathroom, no tub in the bathroom and no actual door to the bathroom. There is a glass barrier between the shower and toilet and a glass door to the toilet but the sink is in an open area right off the front door. The only (small window) is blocked by the bed. In my opinion, it's a very dingy closet like room and the dreary long walk in the narrow hallway doesn't help. If I was alone on this trip, as a single woman, I would have been afraid to walk that long hall at night. I think there are other myVEGAS comps that are much better!
I find the NYNY rooms to be the best value for the LP price. Or The Mirage - but they have less availability it seems because they only have "bonus days." MGM is probably the worst value because, as mentioned, the MyVegas rooms are the tiny West Wing King rooms.
Monte Carlo looks to have more availability and Mandalay Bay too. MC is better than MGM West Wing... and Mandalay Bay has far superior standard rooms in my opinion, plus we are usually able to upgrade for no cost.
Used it for 3 nights on 2 different stay. Always got a west wing room with 1 bed and i loved it i travel solo and it was fine might be tight for 2. Theres an entrance 10 seconds from the strip and the elevators are right by the west wing bar 30 seconds at the most from the strip and you are on your way up, you dont have to walk though the casino its by far the easiest room to access from the strip
