I love Aria, but as I am going to LV for my 60th birthday in a few months, I want to get the most bang for my buck, so I would like to get your views.

My options work out to about the same money-wise (with M-Life discounts):

Aria Corner Suite City View (plus will have $170 resort credit)

Vdara 1-Bedroom Penthouse (plus will have $130 resort credit -- by the way, what is there at Vdara it could be spent on?)

Mirage 1-Bedroom Tower Suite (plus will have $130 resort credit)

Keep in mind, too, that with the Gold M-Life, I may be able to upgrade

    The advantages to each:
Aria - Stayed in a Panoramic City View Corner Suite last time and loved it,
Vdara - About 200 sq ft bigger
Mirage - Will be seeing "Love" (for the 10th time!) and it might be nice to stay at the hotel, rather than taxiing from Aria.

Or is there a chance there will be Christmas emails with discounts?

I can not speak for the Vdara, as I have yet to stay there. I will say that I would take the Corner Suite over the Mirage offer. It is a nicer room in a nicer hotel with a larger resort credit. Taking a cab on night does not seem like a deal breaker.

re: vdara get the 1bd > city corner if its the same price
    it's worth $40 in RC

re: RC, you can spend it on the nice bar there, the combo bodega and breakfast/bakery area and room svc of course
but be aware that the one bedrooms usually have a staircase, if you don't like stairs or might be enough eome extra drinks
    that might be a pain

That's tough! I think I would go with Aria... I didn't like the standard room at Aria, but I loved staying there... to be in a corner suite, I'd be all in. Vdara would be awesome too, I just feel like since you can get into a suite at Aria for the same price I would do that. Since being at Vdara you use all of Aria's amenities anyways.

If you can get a City Corner at Vdara for a lot less.. I'd do that. I can't imagine the penthouse is that much better, in fact I think I heard it has a strange layout?

Not 100% sure. But I think you can use the Vdara resort credits at Aria? I'd check first though

This will come down to what ranks higher on your priorities list for room ammenities and convenience.

The Aria Corner Suites are faaaa...aaaaa.....aaaaaaaar down the hall, as you already know. But the room amenities are outstanding!

I do not know where the Vdara penthouses are located on the floors, but I imagine the amenities to be like Aria's penthouse, plus extras. Downside is you have to walk just a bit more to get to a casino.

Mirage tower suites are big! Much bigger than the Aria corner suite. The amenities, while nice, are a bit dated compared to Aria and Vdara's. For example, the bidet at Mirage is old school...pretty much a faucet over a toilet. Whereas, the Aria and Vdara bidets are modern with heated seats and an actual water sprayer...if that floats your boat...lol. While Mirage is the most dated property of the three, it is hard to beat the ease of travel from room to casino to strip.

You really can't go wrong with either of your choices.

Vdara Penthouse for me for sure.

Aria - you've stayed there - you know what the corner suite is all about. There is definitely no guarantee on the floor or the view. I've had a corner suite on the 4th floor - my view was of the tram station.

Mirage - the tower suites are very nice. I like the location of Aria/Vdara better.

Vdara Penthouse - guaranteed to be on floors 54,55 or 56. Limo is included. I loved having the City Corner Suite and the Penthouse is several steps up from that. It's really nice to have a full kitchen and a Keurig. Both Aria, Bellagio and Cosmo are very close. I didn't find it inconvenient at all to stay there as far as getting to neighboring casinos. I definitely think you get more suite for your money at the Vdara.

I'd stay in the 1-bedroom penthouse at Vdara with the $130 resort credit. The reasons JosieCat stated above is why I continue to stay at Vdara.

Decision made. I booked a Corner Suite this afternoon, and received an email tonight that because of my 60th birthday I am being upgraded to a one-bedroom Aria suite located in the Sky Suites.
