Great report! It seems that any real pinball aficionados are totally let down by the Pinball HOF, while casual players like me loved it. Maybe they should change the name to Vegas Vintage Arcade or something.

Great report. We're gonna split time between Palazzo and Cosmo over Super Bowl weekend, and I can guar-an-tee I'm gonna check out big boob gal at Casino Royale. Thanks for the tip and thanks for a great write-up.

Yeah, it was a HUGE bummer compared to the incredibly well curated and maintained selection of machines at the Seattle Pinball Museum. Every game there looks like it was just shopped, the owners take loving care in every piece of their collection, and they rotate out machines when they need to service them. It's much smaller, with only about 30 machines, but I'll take 30 perfect machines over 200 crummy ones every single day.

Nice report, it was a really good read, thanks for putting it together. For some reason this really cracked me up...among others.:

"Apparently, there is one place in China, and it's called CHINA."

I know, right! I just couldn't fucking believe they wouldn't put his actual hometown on there like they do for everyone else.

I'm excited to play some Baccarat with old, superstitious Chinese gamblers next trip. I was too intimidated by the game and the Chinese letters all over to sit down at a Baccarat table in the past...

Great report. Glad you were willing to give DT a shot. It's definitely different. It is safe as long as you stay close to Fremont. I hate dealers who are annoyed by novices. Most are willing to help because if they are helpful, they get tipped. But some are jaded by the job and just don't care. Vegas takes a while to get it to your liking. Takes a lot of mistakes. I'd say y'all did pretty damn well for newbies.

Cool. Is it possible... could it be... that your David dealer was also my David dealer?

    http://www.royalflushervegas.com/2012/08/olympic-blackjack-baseball.html

" David dealt himself an Ace against my 20 and mumbled something, probably something really important. I’ve thought this over, reviewed the handwritten (but not on the table, it’s against the law) notes, studied the digital audio recordings, and have reached my conclusion. David had said, and I quote, “EEHYOUGHAHH?”

He repeated the elegant phrase, no doubt of a long lost dialect from his homeland casinos. I smiled at him and looked at my watch and looked at the QQ.

“EEHYOUGHAHH?” He tapped the table… on the word ‘Insurance’."

Awesome stuff! And the story about "David" was hilarious. I was as confused as you and your g/f were the first time I played a pitch game. But I had a dealer that spoke fluent English at least.

And yeah the pinball hall of fame, I could see that being a big disappointment to you. The floor is effing concrete. When I saw they had random video games too, I prayed for "Cyberball" but no dice.

Definitely looking forward to reading future trips!

Oh my god, yes it's entirely possible. My David was at El Cortez though...perhaps he's moved throughout the years.
