    My Trip Report

Time again for a trip to LV. Plane leaves in about 3 hours, so I'm going to start the thread now, to make it easier to update.

Staying tonight at Monte Carlo then I move downtown for 5 nights. I have a "free" ticket to Tommy Wind music/magic show tonight from Goldstar, $25 at NFI from myVegas, and will play the rest of the night by ear.

If you read my Pre-Trip notes on the general board, you know there are tons of promos going on, but I have narrowed it down. Tomorrow & Sunday afternoons will probably be spent mostly at Sam's Town, then downtown later. Monday I hope to make the Cosmo shindig, and of course as the trip goes on, plans become even more unpredictable. I'm also trying to hook up with a few other VMB members while there.

I'll try to post more photos, I have a new phone which I think takes better pics than the previous one. I always forget to grab food pics before I dig in it seems. Here's hoping for some big wins, as my last trip was the worst for me in some time. No high-stakes hijinks here, just low-rollin' good times.

See yas on the other side!

Checked in at Monte Carlo, it took me over 30 minutes to get from the Tropicana exit of I15 to the valet at MC. This was at 3:45 PM. Only 2 boothlings working at Mlife desk on a Friday during a holiday weekend. And the lady who loaded my freeplay said one of them was off in 90 minutes. God I hate the f-in Strip.

Wifi works in the lobby, but not in the room. Room is fine, clean & comfortable.

Off to a show later then NFI for dinner.

Before I even had chance to post the above I stopped at MC sports book bar & hit this on my 2nd spin:

$23 for fish & chips? Really? NFI meal & a beer over $30 before tip, minus the $25 myVegas comp. Lady at Mlife said NFI stops serving at 10:30 now, not 11:00, so I was lucky to get there when I did.

Wincards are available at the cage, skip the Mlife desk.

Played some $5 6:5 on the Wincards chips, walked $5 ahead.

Won $5 on slots from the $10 freeplay at MC. Put a couple points on Lady Friend's card to keep it active.

Saw Tommy Wind show, it was fine for free, back in the alley between Fatburger & Walgreens. A couple good illusions, and his family is his onstage assistants.

Here are some pics - more tomorrow.

    $1.99 at Walgreens

Good day so far. El Co gave me $10 free play for my Allegiant boarding pass (net $12), set up my 5X points for today, got 4X drawing tickets from the kiosk, so I will skip the Grand drawing & attend the EC tonight.

The $1 9/6 JOB is 1/3 points so I played some .50 8/5 Bonus , got a quad, also made some at BJ, but no tickets in the Noon drawing.

I still haven't done a couple other things at EC, but I was able to check in at Plaza.

Next stop Golden Gate for Allegiant match play, & buyin for football squares.

Some pics from last night & today's quad:

Fun/tough day. At one point I was up a couple hundred, but ended the day near even after 2 nights.

Stopped at Boulder Station for a swipe promo, won a bingo pack (thanks for nothing). Wanted to get to Sam's Town so I skipped their good DD BJ game.

Pumped .50 9/6 JOB at the bar for a while, enough to get some drawing tickets & qualify for extra cash back. Met up with aisack & bungadin at the early drawing, none of us won, but later on some lady won $40k. Damn.
Back to El Co, where I again didn't win, and back to Plaza to park.

Hit Golden Gate for another square, then the Cal for the prime rib special. 1st meal all day, and I wolfed it down.
Never got to meet up with anyone at Boar, but was on a quad search with none in sight, except a couple on nickels.

In the morning football bets (college was bad), another buyin for a square at GG, then most of the afternoon at Sam's.

Sam's was pretty much break even, went down early then came back. Touched base briefly with aaisack, then headed back downtown

Stopped at the Grand & couldn't get a straight answer about the 2/3/4 X points, so I ran a few $ through & hope it will be enough.

Hit a bunch of good hands at Golden Gate including several quads, & walked away ahead (missed out on the squares promo, but close).

After the game went to El Co for my free burger & ice cream from yesterday, & they had the nerve to charge me 50 cents for cheese on the burger comp. It's not the cost it's the principle.

Lost a couple hundred on BJ (my favorite game!) before heading to MSS. Stopped at the Grand for a shoe of 6D, made a few bucks. RSA is definitely a rule there. Got to MSS, 1st table I sat down at the dealer was cutting off less than 1 deck on a DD game, which is ridiculous, even for Boyd. I colored up quickly & sat at the Boar.

BTW somebody hit the nickel prog at the Cal for over $500.

Dropped $150 at Plaza trying to chase at .50 9/6 boner deluxe trying to catch back up.

Now crashing in the room. Will I have enough b energy to hit the sushi & champers party tomorrow?

No pics, too wasted. Down only around $100 for the trip.

Made about $65 on $75 free play today from El Co & Sam's.

After a quick stop at the Grand I went to HH at CBC at 4Q. 3 apps for under $10, but I dropped $100 playing 9/7 DB for quarters. Moved to DDB & hit this:

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/95659762@N04/15741630559/player/cb673e7977" height="375" width="500" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

    Then quickly followed by this:

Now nearly even for the trip again. One more pic for the road:

Played Free Bet BJ at Plaza last night for the 1st time, won a few bucks. Later I hit quads on boner delux for $100, so things are looking up.

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/95659762@N04/15747351510/player/b65546bd53" height="375" width="500" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

Ran through some freeplay today, netted around $60. Lost $100 at the Grand after moving over from the Plaza on 8/5 Bonus. The bar still has 7/5 for quarters, & 8/5 for the prog DDB.

Had the $9.99 prime rib at S+O, got 4 $5 credits while playing at the machine, they just popped up. Pretty lame compared to the Cal, no soup or salad, just a few veggies & mashed or fries.

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/95659762@N04/15748604929/player/a4b84e425c" height="375" width="500" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

Headed out to Jerry's Nugget to do a couple match plays, & try UTH which I hear they have for $3.

The IPA from Walgreen's was a big one, 19 or 24 oz. I like the Marker pale ale at MSS, & the amber at both 4Q & Ellis Island.

S+O has graveyard $4.95 steak & eggs, checking it out now.

Got killed at the Boar & back at the Plaza on Free Bet. Now down a couple hundred for the trip, which isn't too bad on the 5th night. Still, would like to make it back.

Good luck; down a couple hundred after even one night is almost a win in my books.

Dropped another $200 at DD last night, was trying to go big or go home. Looks like home it will be.

Took a stab at the 10/7 progs at 4Q & hit this:

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/95659762@N04/15916660136/player/421b0ef335" height="375" width="500" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

NASCAR was on Fremont, I was able to catch this before the crowds descended.

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/95659762@N04/15940503951/player/dced9b384c" height="375" width="500" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

Now eating at Triple George to use my food comp from the Grand.
