Mani/pedis, wax, hairstyle/cut, clothing, dieting, cosmetics, jewelry, etc...do you get fancy for a Vegas trip?

My sister and I aren't spa people, so we've decided on each of our trips coming up we will book a highly rated salon visit each time we go, and even try and book the celebrity stylist if we can get it. Only thought of it a couple days before this trip, but managed to get a haircut/blowout at the Wynn salon this time. Looking forward to making our rounds!

Otherwise, we generally do it up a bit for Vegas, but comfort ALWAYS comes first - and plan our suitcases accordingly. I do find it kinda fun to wear sequinned skirts etc at 10 am, just cause you can in Vegas - but need to ensure the shoes don't slow us down!

I generally wear a suit and tie for the business-related stuff and can't wait to shed it around 3 or 4 p.m. for the fun activities!

I should add that I ALWAYS enjoy seein' those who do get all dressed-up... it's just not me.

I got a hot lather shave once before I headed out, but it was very overrated. I might get a massage next time.

I get a pedicure monthly so it's not in response to a pending trip.

Everything else falls out in some order: Golf gear, golf wear, couple bottles of wine, and if hanging with the KoolKidz something moderately adult to wear during dinner, as in pants and a sport coat, and something other than slippahs or Sanuks on my feet. Oops, ruh roh, wore Olukais to the Mansion. lol

I used to do it all: nails done, hair done, new clothes, etc.

Now? I don't have the urgency for all that stuff when traveling anywhere. I'm showered, have clean clothes and throw minimal makeup on and I'm out the door.

Always. I work at a nursery, so as long as I don't wear pajamas to work, I'm good. So I do have a mostly separate Vegas wardrobe, which is mostly nicer shorts or capris with nice tops. At work it's jeans and t-shirts. I also like to have a fresh hair cut, a mani/pedi, try to lose a few pounds before I go.

I am a jeans and tee guy at home but nights in Vegas are always a sport jacket and a button up shirt/ tie. My nod to the old Vegas.

My wife has several glittery Vegas-only outfits. I avoid t-shirts and jeans but otherwise dress for comfort and for walking a lot.

I am always a bit fancier in Vegas! I like to wear vintage, so I get to pull out all the outfits that I am too timid to wear every day. And, no one bats an eye if you are formal in Vegas, so I take advantage of that too.

As I said to my girlfriend, "going to Vegas is like going to the prom again!" Hell yeah I'm going to dress up!

Mrs. Wilson always visits the spa once while we are in Vegas. She also got a pedicure on our last trip.

We will also both dress up for one or two evening meals and/or a show during our stays.

I like to get a manicure before I go. It pleases me when I am banging away at VP to see pretty nails and quads

We did the dress-up thing, nice dinner, Folies show, limo tour of the Strip, etc., a few times but not for maybe 7 years or so.

I'm getting old, don't do heels anymore, and truthfully, more relaxed doing casual, both days and evening.

However, when I first started going to Las Vegas, you most definitely dressed for the evenings! That was part of the Old Vegas scene that I admit I do miss.

I only get a haircut before I head to Vegas. I dress more relaxed in Vegas during the day then jeans and a casual button-down at night. I only bring one watch with me since I don't want to risk losing them.

Same here. I tend to walk around in San Diego chargers gear all day unless heading into a club

^ I always get a haircut within two weeks of leaving.

And I always shave the night before leaving cause I never take my razor.
