I think this is where this goes, please move if it is in wrong thread.

Do properties need your ACG card to redeem the coupons? Or do most just take the coupon without the card.

I ask because there are some that I cannot use (those for new members only) but my friend who is coming does not have players cards at most places. Can he use my coupons upon sign up? Or will he need an ACG card with his name on it?

I've never needed the card. Might as well have your friend try it.

I've been using the ACG for 5 years and never ever have been asked to show the card. I used to bring it with me but I don't worry about it now. $25 matchplay at golden gate a the d are awesome. Won the gate lost the d, plus $25.

Thanks there are a lot of good ones I cannot use. Thanks for confirming I can give them to my friend.

Good to know thanks. I will be using that 1 for myself. Do they check and see if you have your name on it? Or just that you have it?

They haven't asked me for the card, but I still carry it in case.

My friend could use the coupons without a problem (I give him my card just in case, though).

I usually just place the ACG card in my wallet behind a credit card, so it is available if asked. I think I've been asked once in 6 years to show it.

I've been asked for the card maybe 10 times, depends on the employee, used coupons with friends in different lines, sometimes one of us would have to show the card to her clerk. No one has ever checked the signature, but if someone does, pretend you are a doctor (if you in fact aren't) and sign the card illegibly, let whoever is using the coupon hold the card, my girlfriend and I had no problem doing this. (we both had books, I was the drunk that lost his)

I am not a doctor but from the handwriting I pass for 1!

This is great to know. I just would have for him to miss out on the "new member" specials that I cannot use. Thanks a lot

I've been asked for my card on occasion, along with a players card. No one ever checked the signature...and I don't even sign it anyway. What I've had done 3-4 times is the pit person enters something into the computer (maybe a note of date that I'm using a ACG coupon so that there's record and I don't keep coming back with multiple copies of them abusing the system). Sometimes I've just had to flash the card and I was okayed to use the coupon. Both of those instances were rare, I usually just take the coupon out and use it without needing the card.

Only been asked once to see the card....that was at the buffet at Golden Nugget. I had the card with me so no problem.
