MyVegas question from redeeming buffets

Hi guys, I am new here. I have 120K LP right now, and going to arrive at vegas on Dec 21st, Sunday. I am just not sure what it means by
" this reward requires a one night minimum room stay at any MGM resorts international property."

So I plan to book hotel through, let's say orbitz.com, which only costs 40 dollars for one night. Does it count for "stay at any MGM resorts international property"?

As long as it's a MGM Resorts property, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, Luxor, Monte Carlo, Aria, Vdara, Bellagio, Mirage, or Circus Circus, it doesn't matter where you booked your reservation. Just have your room confirmation number in case the players desk asks for it.

 

How long is the window of opportunity open in regards to having the meal?
I don’t quite understand the start/stop times. I’m planning to book a Sunday night stay at NYNY and want to get the Mirage lunch buffet to use on Monday. Is this doable?

 

It should be. From what I had heard, you have 24 hours either side of the room reservation. The lunch buffet should be good for 24 hours as well, so if you get the lunch buffet Sunday night while you are still at NYNY, the buffet will be on your card for the next day.

 

You should call the Player's Club Desk at the property you plan to redeem the buffet and ask to be sure. I redeemed the Bellagio Buffet last month and was told it had to be used that day, not in 24 hours.

 

I have also heard that it has to be put on while you are currently a guest of the hotel, so sometime between check in and out. I don't think you can go to Mirage after you check out of NYNY and add it to your card, but if you go earlier in the morning then I believe it is okay.

Thank you for the reply. One more question: I have already booked hotel with credit card. So with my 150K LP, can I just wait for the days before I leave for vegas then decide what to use my LP to buy?
The concerns of this plan are only 1) the 3 reward limitation policy, and 2) reward sold out, is that correct?
I have never been vegas, so I don't know how good those rewards are, such as slot tourment... Also, I will arrive on Dec 21, there are a lot of rewards blackouted, such as most of shows.

You are best off buying the rewards you want ASAP- rewards have been known to disappear from the store with no advance notice, but in 99% of cases the rewards already purchased are still good. You do not want to wait until you arrive to buy rewards as you will only be shown those available to locals and the selection is very limited. You can buy more than 3 rewards and cancel the ones you don't use provided you have the LPs to do that- you will get the LPs back. When you try to buy the 4th reward you will get a notice about the 3 in 30 day limit, but it will allow you to keep buying, it is just reminding you.

 

bellagio buffets and tournament of kings rewards are blacked out at that time too.

One more question, I found a "1 night stay midweek" in Palace Station is very good for me. But I am not sure"
1) this doesn't count as 3/30, because it count as "2 rewards from station casinoso", right? Although, palace station is not far away from the strip.
2) I can't see blackout dates for it, does it mean that it works for all the midweek days?
