I am thinking of using My Vegas Points for two free Buffets here as there is no weekday restrictions no stay requirement. Is it any good though? While it may be free I do not wanna spend my points on bad food.

I've eaten there and thought it was decent, run-of-the-mill buffet food. You're not going to get the super-high-quality dishes like at Wynn or Bellagio, or the unique stuff like at Wicked Spoon or Bacchanal, but it's good.

I ate the dinner buffet in March when we stayed there and it was pretty good. They had prime rib and crab legs and the prime rib was cooked perfectly rare.

I've eaten at the following buffets in the last 3 years and the only one close to crappiness was the Main Street Station. I won't go back to the MSS or MGM buffets.

    Aria
    Bellagio 3x
    Bachannal 2
    Rio
    Planet Hollywood
    Mirage
    Red Rock Casino
    Mandalay Bay 2x

The MGM Buffet has been my biggest let down as far as food goes in Vegas yet. It's really poor quality compared to the rest the property.

That is interesting, not saying you are lying, but I read in a few places that MSS had one of the better buffets downtown. MGM will be free, but like I said if it is awful then I do not want to deal with it.

I am going back to the MGM Grand buffet for the fourth time this coming Saturday. The last time i went it was a Saturday night and my whole group enjoyed it. I loved the Calamari. There was so much variety.

I've heard the same thing about MSS. When we were there it was lunch time and it was nothing but trays of slop. It all looked the same just different colors LOL. The brisket was good though so I loaded up on that to get my money's worth.
Maybe we were there on a bad day? I have no idea but it was horrible.
