Whatever mode or service you use, hit random and tell us what the next five songs are that scroll out. I got an array that proves I'm rather musically challenged: The Rain, SiSe Nervous, The Iguanas Awake, Tycho Dirt, Florida Georgia Line Come Along, Vicci Martinez and Cee Lo
I just turned on Pandora at work this morning (freebie/occasional ad version) and the first 5 songs were Canon in D, It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (Perry Como), Mamma, Don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys (Waylon Jennings), The race is on (George Jones) and Goodbye Girl (Squeeze). Yep, I've got a few country channels, a few holiday channels, and new wave shuffled.....
I use iTunes and always have random turned on to play my collection of songs. Wait For Me, Bob Seger Days Like This, Van Morrison Be My Baby, The Ronettes Story of a Life, Harry Chapin My City of Ruins, Springsteen Christmas songs are in a separate list and it is waaaay to early to turn that on.
I would listen to Christmas music year round if I could. Sometimes I play a few songs in July, just for fun. But I do have Halloween & Thanksgiving channels on Pandora in the current shuffle.....
Got 3000 songs on my piPhone 3.14. Put it all on shuffle and here's what we get. Don't Deceive Me - Chuck Willis It Ain't the Meat - Swallows (from the highly recommended Risque Rhythm collection) All Shook Up - Ry Cooder Knives Out - Radiohead The Sky is Crying - Stevie Ray Vaughn Bonus track - Praise You - Fatboy Slim
I stopped putting my whole library on random for this very reason. I have such a wide variety of music in my iTunes library the randomness sometimes annoyed me. I typically put a certain genre on shuffle rather than my whole library now. Maybe I'll switch it up today and see how different I can get.
Iyaz - Replay Def Leppard - Animal Nickleback - If Today was Your Last Day Holly Miranda - Waves Luke Bryan - I Knew You That Way Eminen and Dr Dre - Guilty Conscious That's 6. I have no idea who Holly Miranda is and how she got on my iTunes. Must be a free download from Starbucks.
Addicted - Saving Abel Twilight Zone - Golden Earring Bright Lights - Matchbox Twenty Cocaine - Jackson Browne Do I Wanna Know? - Arctic Monkeys
From my phone: Best of the Worst - Charm City Devils White Lightning & Wine - Heart Fool to Cry - Rolling Stones Meth Lab Zoso Sticker - 7Horse (awesome guitar riff theme from Wolf of Wall Street) Ridin' the Storm Out - REO Speedwagon
Love it! Keep the 7Horse running! OK, so, I'm biased. I've known those guys for a long time Most of my "random" playlist would involve 7horse's old band "dada"
I listen about 95% of the time to what I deem to be Classic Rock, which may or may not be someone else's idea of Classic Rock. My post 1995 list is completely separate from this one. This is 1800 songs on my iPhone4S after hitting shuffle on the entire collection. (I have to spin one down and one up to get it started). All Around - INXS Charlie Freak - Steely Dan Come Together - The Beatles I Will Not Go Quietly - Don Henley Ventura Highway - America
One Clear Moment - Linda Thompson I'll Be Waiting - Santana Hangin' on a Limb - Neil Young Heart In Hand - We Are Going To Eat You Midas Man - Renaissance Eclectic, to say the least.
50 Ways to Leave Your Lover - Paul Simon Get Lucky - Daft Punk They Don't Care About Us - Michael Jackson Rental Love - Lake Street Dive Don't - Ed Sheeran
I don't like doing random. I prefer to listen to an entire album if I can. Right now I'm making my way through Dylan's, "The Basement Tapes Complete" and Wilco's "Alpha Mike Foxtrot: Rare Tracks, 1994-2014". Ten discs between the two of them so I'm guessing I'll be working on them for the foreseeable future!
Memories - David Guetta After The Storm - Mumford & Sons Fire - Kasabian Let You Go - Chase & Status Lullaby - Professor Green
