    My Trip Report

    Hey all,

I've read some great TR's over the last few months so thought I'd try my hand at one.

Currently 24 hours out. Just now starting to get my s**t together. Flying out of the DC area tomorrow morning direct to LV. The girlfriend of 12 years is currently out of town on business but will be joining me tomorrow evening. My flight lands at 11am vegas time so i have a few poker hours to burn before her arrival.

    Trip set up:

I used to be a big fan of the strip but this time around we will be staying DT for 5 nights in a suite at the Golden Gate. I've played in the casino several times before and really like the place so fingers crossed on staying there.

We have the following things planned so far. Probably not much more as, you know, its Vegas.

    - Pre dinner drinks at the Mandarin bar on Friday
    - Dinner at L'Atelier on Friday.
    - Couples massage at the Golden Nugget on Sat
    - Le Thai for dinner on Sat
    - Catch some NFL at 777

We are here for our birthdays {both 35 this year} after a long year work wise to blow off some steam. The GF {we'll call her N} mainly likes to play roulette and a little BJ. I'm a big poker fan so will be hitting up the GN poker room and also Binions. Outside of that its just BJ with some craps sprinkled in. BR for casino games is $4500. Poker is a different BR so thats not really important.

I'm planning on writing a full day by day report when i get back BUT, if i get the chance i will do mini updates daily while i'm there. First things first though I have to drop off the guard dog at a friends.

    So, until next time.

I threw that in there as a mild brag. Wondered if anyone would bite. Marriage is just not our thing i guess.

Have only ever stayed DT once. Only for the night though. I had a great time.

You know how i know that the DC area is expensive????

When its cheaper for me to get car service to DCA from the Chevy Chase area than to park my car at the airport.

    Grinding my gears.......

careful I've been living with my wife for 18 years, only married for 10 of them
if her biological clock is still ticking, you might get to have that oh so awkward talk...

We've had it, many times. More of a byproduct of people making comments to us.

Not to derail the TR. I believe that people should do what makes them happy. If that's marriage and children then so be it. But, there's more than one way to live a life.

18 years is solid. Good work.

First gamble of the day was talking an uber to the airport. I mean, I respect the hustle but the guy got me here in 15 mins (usually takes 30). Pretty sure jumped out of thr car while it was still rolling too. Got kids to feed I guess.
