    My Trip Report

Ok starting my own TR on tap stalk, third day in. Like I said on the group thread, team play hasn't worked out for me, so far

    Hours 6:15
    Theo 17,542
    Loss 95k

I noticed several things about myself, No offense to any of the great guys I've met, but I've developed a lot of pet peeves playing by myself so often. I know they have no bearing of the card results or dice results, but they cause me to 2nd guess my betting patterns etc.

In blackjack for instance going in and out of hands, it is certainly ok if the whole table is losing, but when I just hit a blackjack it irks a little.

In craps, the usual late betting and trash talking I'm just totally not use to anymore playing mostly by myself at one end, I know I know I'm totally spoiled but hey, it takes some adjustment for me.

In baccarat, watching somebody else win hand over hand while the hands I play can't win....oh the agony...same thing in roulette...

Wow, writing this I've realized I've been pretty much cut off from social gambling....I will do it but for much lower stakes I think.

Wynn changed the rule on washing chips, so I can use this 100k I forgot I had from the 2nd place bac tournament win last time. It shouldn't affect my discount so they say....I will wait for clarification haha.

So this trip in, I'm debating what my 3rd casino will be, suggestions will be appreciated. Cosmo will probably be my 2nd since they have a bac tournament at the end of the month.

So it will probably be between Palazzo, MGM and Paris/Caesars

For Palazzo, they have great service and I'm a big player there, but the biggest problem is I've never won there.

For MGM, they dissed me if you've been following my TRs, but I realize they have amenities like ringside seats that I can't get elsewhere, so don't mind building up the relationship. They are tough on comps now though, strict 20% of theo comp usage, airfare not included of course. Not too much lower than before when alls done, but the bigger you play the less the comps. I guess I can play lower, but that won't really get me ringside anyways so that's a conundrum.

Paris/Caesars a whole different set of problems not including the impending bankruptcy filing. Hunter is a great personable guy but his deal for me is much worse than their basic Asian marketing deal, I was hoping he can get seconded to that system but they are a huge bureaucracy with a lot of internal politics like MGM so I guess it is a no go. It seems like domestic programs are really much worse than international in many ways.

As a fellow degenerate, I agree with your comments. We get sucked into other peoples' systems and it hurts our own system (bankrolls).

Hopefully you can turn it around. Looking forward to the reports.

    Good Luck!!!

If you are really interested in giving MGM another try, I have a great host that you can talk with and I know she will give you staight talk to any of your concerns or questions. No BS. I have nothing to gain just thought I would throw it out there. She put me in a nice 2 bedroom Skyloft a few weeks ago and I bet no where near your level. I might get a trip report done sometime.

I am fairly new to this board but have put my time in on others and a few people here know me.

Anyway, let me know if you are interested and I will PM you her contact info.

Understood. I do believe she has some far east players but that is not her main focus. Just thought i would throw an option if you were interested in connecting. It may not be a fit but you never know. Good luck.

FYI, the politics of the host business will always prevent a player of Nate's level to switch hosts to a low level host. Even if he insists on working with a specific low level host, they'll let him, of course, but the VP will be the one that gets his action in the computer. Just the way it works.

No real roulette pet peeves, basically just easier if I'm the only one at the table otherwise watching other people win money while you lose sucks :)

    Memorable hands at craps....

Ever notice that when you take ur time you usually do better? Tried on two hands today and did much better. Until some jerk came and crowded me .... Pphold and natural eight were there....unbelievable....

Earlier in the day had 3k on the line, full odds, made two passes. Got the 10 up to 8k. When I upped the line bet to 4k, I hate it when the next point is eight, because I had to put 20k behind. I can't put less because I won the previous two with full odds...sigh superstitious....

Did well at roulette for 50k because a 17 came in at the right time. Had 4 1k splits and 1k neighbors...whew...
