I have seen table limits at Rivers in Chicago and at Horseshoe in Hammond $200 to $200,000. at Baccarat and Blackjack. This is the highest i have seen POSTED.

I have talked to a few Dealers and Pit boss that the most is $400,000. in Las Vegas but you have to be pre approved with a high LOC or front money.

I was talking with a friend that said he has a client that was able to bet $1million a hand on Blackjack in Vegas. I don't think he knows what he is talking about.

Can someone verify that they know of Vegas allowing a play to bet $1 million a hand in blackjack? i know Benny Binon did but that was over 20 years ago.

I have seen $150,000 a hand in Vegas but it was at a reserved table.

    Thanks

I believe that Don "MF" Johnson had limits over $400,000 in Atlantic City before he was banned.

The highest I've seen was $300K/hand on blackjack.

Where at Horseshoe Hammond have you seen a posted 200k limit?

Usually casinos go by the 7% rule, so if you have a 2m line you can bet 140k a hand. However, they do have an upper bound, so the most I've seen lately is 400k for a 10m line.

However, if you go to Singapore, you can go 1m a hand pretty easily....just have to have enough money. Basic limits you can go up to 600k a hand. They don't worry about your action there....

Nate, Just between you and me, :) If you were up lets say 3m, would you play 400k a hand?

No...because I would not be able to. I don't have a 10m CL in vegas.

I think my buddy did not know what he was talking about. I doubt VEGAS has allow $1million a hand at Blackjack. Just checking to see if anyone can back him up.

Thanks for your input. I'm going to ask this weekend when we are up there.

It was in the back there is a smaller room for Midi Baccarat and Blackjack that they had posted $100 min $100,000 max and the other table had $200 min and $200,000. max but this was two years ago. This was at both RIVERS in Chicago and Horseshoe.

Most I have personally observed was one guy betting $175k a hand at bac at the Aria a few years ago. He didn't bet that much every hand ($20k seemed to be his baseline) but he cranked it up to $175k a few times as he chased losses. I was kind of stunned not so much by the amount, but that he just sat down at a standard $100 min table with me. I don't know why he didn't have a reserved table. But the supervisor told the dealer he could bet those amounts

I'd be really interested to know the largest single bet ever played at a table game in Las Vegas was. I've heard the Binions stories, wonder if anyone ever topped those?

I'm curious if Macau or Singapore allows bigger bets in baccarat than Vegas with all the bosses.

Macau and Singapore have bigger betting limits than Vegas by a wide margin, especially Singapore.

I have heard the private, by invitation only, poker games have had several pots with a million plus in them. Phil Hellmuth was reported to win one well over a million, but the report couldn't or wouldn't put an exact figure on it.

No doubt, but the OP was asking about table limits.

That reminded me, I saw a guy playing with a plaque at Bellagio once. No chips in front of him. He would just call out how much he was wagering on each hand. A supervisor and host stood behind him with a pen and paper taking note of how much he placed on each wager. The few hands I saw, his bets ranged from 30k to 80k. Only time I have ever seen that, which was interesting

Poker is a table game and they do put table limits on the particular games they offer. Or is this thread for casino blackjack or baccarat only and not necessarily the highest table limits? There are many other table played games besides these two. As a side note, if the question had been about the biggest offer to wager, then it would be Kerry Packer's $100,000,000 offer to "Toss you for it" to a Texas oil man in Las Vegas.

    this was different.

each plaque was 100k and he had a stack of them and he would put out 4 each hand and if he won they'd give him 4 more.
