I have a boring conference at the Flamingo, and usually stay there - but decided to try the Cromwell, since it is close. I've only heard about noisy rooms (which don't bother me), and lousy views (also not important to me). What about the comfort of the rooms, and the gambling, and the customer service? Is Giada's still getting good reviews?

Rooms are nice but a bit on the small side and dark. Showers rock. Views are very hit and miss. I didn't notice noise but my view was of the loading dock. Furnishings are nice. The backgammon board in the room was a nice touch. I found the service to be great but I was there during the week days when staff are afforded more of an opportunity to provide customer service. The pool is the highlight as well as the beach party which is on Tuesday nights and guests get in for free. It is a scene. The prices they are charging for these rooms are not even close to the value in my opinion. Mine was comped but i never would have paid what they were asking. Despite the larger rooms I get at Caesers (Augustus, Octavius) if I could get Cromwell comped I would stay there just for the pool. I didn't eat at Glada's but my friend ate there and loved it. Hope this helps a little. I am also a fan of the decor and the casino.

I haven't stayed in any of their rooms, i haven't dined at Giada's, and i haven't used the pool during the day and danced all night at Drai's...........i can attest to what i do know, the Casino. I spend a lot my time at Cromwell. Will again next week when i go back to Vegas. I don't know why...........maybe something to do with the hired help. They make my gambling better because they're easy on the eyes.
Sure, i may lose most of my money, but they make it a pleasurable experience to do so.

Thanks Gaggles, great review and just what I was looking for! I'll be there Sunday through Thursday and my room is also comped, so I'm not demanding much! The pool is not usually my scene, but I will have to check it out now! Do you think there will still be a Tuesday beach party in December?
Thanks also to Waverunner for your input, I am very interested in the casino (after all, that's what gets me the comped rooms!). Glad to know you are happy with the customer service, but the only thing easy on my eyes is piles of chips or cash!!

Is the pool crowded? That would be my only concern. I hate going to the pool and having to scrounge for a seat. Kind of ruins the relaxation aspect of a trip

Went there in September from Tuesday to Friday with my girlfriend and had an amazing time. Customer service is fantastic and the thing that stood out in our minds. I loved the room as well, yes it may have been a bit dark but liked the look of it. As said before the beach club will be done so you don't worry about Tuesday night. Drais will only be open on Thursday and Friday while you are there, I was on the 6th floor and didn't notice the sound, granted I was drunk the nights it was open. The pool is a beautiful, little quibble is that it is a little slippery when you get out. As for Giada's we hit that up for lunch and it was fantastic. Something I loved was the free breakfast in the hotel bar, but I believe I read that is no longer because Giada's is serving breakfast. Oh well! Definitely recommend staying there, even just to see for yourself. I would love to answer any other questions you got.

Usually went to the pool around 10:30 am during the week and it was pretty much empty. Weekends I am sure would be much different
