I LOVE to play Crazy 4 Poker. The issue is, I'll only play it in Nevada, where the dealer gets five cards, as do you. In other jurisdictions, the dealer gets six cards (i.e., "Four Card Poker" rather than "Crazy 4 Poker"). So I never play unless I'm in Vegas (I live on the East Coast, so it's not like I fly to Reno, Laughlin, etc.)

Are there other games that are Nevada-specific, or where the odds differ significantly in Vegas?

We actually have Crazy 4, as well as the dreaded 4 Card Poker, here in California. I really can't think of any Carnival games that are specific to Vegas.

I haven't seen High Card Flush anywhere other than Vegas. I know that Brent is trying to get Money Suit 31 into Vegas, too. It was in Calgary, AB but was removed because of incompetent dealers and defective tables.

I love Crazy 4 Poker as well. I actually filled out one of those surveys that CET sends you after a visit sometimes and for my complaint I said "the Crazy 4 Poker table was always full! Get more of them!" And someone actually called me to talk about it. She said Crazy 4 Poker is still a relatively new game and that is why it isn't everywhere yet. But it is becoming more and more popular so more tables should be showing up in places.

I love Crazy 4 Poker also. I noticed on my trip earlier this month that Bellagio added a second table. I hope other casinos will add tables. I hate not being able to play when the only table is full!

I've also seen it at Harrahs NKC, Ameristar KC, and Horseshoe Tunica. Harrahs NKC has Crazy 4 Poker too.

LOL at the lady's BS response. I've seen the game in casinos for over 10 years. Crazy 4 Poker has been approved in Mississippi at least since July 19th, 2002. Four Card Poker since June 10th, 2003.

If you want to see a depressing list of mostly failed games...here is all the approved games in Mississippi.

    LOL.

I think the reason they called was because my responses in the survey were generally negative. So they wanted to see what was wrong.

Four Winds in Michigan has Crazy 4 Poker. They also have a WPT game that I haven't seen anywhere else. Harrah's Joliet just got High card Flush.

Several vegas strip casinos had the WPT game a couple years ago. I did not notice it anywhere this year.

That's another game that mostly got crushed into oblivion by "Ultimate Texas Holdem".

Man, looking at that list makes me sad. I loved 3-5-7 Poker. Also spent some time playing Boston 5 and Colorado Stud. We had a game in St. Louis called Double Down Stud, which I also loved. All those games are nowhere to be found now.

One of the dealers at the Indiana riverboat I frequent said they had Boston 5 many years ago, but dropped it due to lack of play. Right after that happened, she said people started asking about it, but it was never brought back.

MGM Detroit had 3-5-7 but it's been replaced by Mississippi Stud, I believe.

Actually they changed 3-5-7 to 2-5-7 poker. It was the only place I'd ever seen 2-5-7 poker.

No clue if it's still there. It was definitely one of their least popular games.

Double Down Stud is still available on machines. They are on the top floor of Ameristar.

Ironically playing Boston 5 at Ameristar may be my biggest table game win ever as I barely play table games. I decided to try the game and played the 3 card bonus bet because it was still the old/good 2.32% Pair Plus 3CP table. Within 10 hands, bam, trip Jacks dealt to me for a 30 to 1 win on the 3 card bet. I brick the other two cards. After that I didn't stick around much longer. The game wasn't that interesting since optimal strategy was to raise everything! Zzzzz,,,

2-5-7 is still at MGM Detroit

1 table and it is usually open during the busier times.

When it was 3-5-7, they had 2 tables and both were pretty busy. I have several friends/patients that work there in various forms and they all say that MGM constantly lost money on 3-5-7 and that is why they switched to 2-5-7. I like the game for its simplicity, just sit there and drink, only thing to think about is whether or not I am going to put more $ on the little circles to play another hand. Once the cards are dealt, I let the dealers do all the work, no need to "peek" at my hole cards, THEY ARE NOT GOING TO CHANGE.
