I've noticed that the offers in my account are increasingly less interesting/valuable. Lately I see offers for resort credits. I could care less about resort credits. My play gives me comped rooms/suites and all my room charges (food and beverage, spa, limos etc) are comped on the back end. I'm not sure what marketing genius's algorithm sets me up for a resort credit when I have no need for it. It's like offering a steak dinner to a vegetarian.

I find it difficult to sift through all the offers. On average it will say I have a good 60 offers at any point (once I think I had over 100), and some seem redundant.... they offer me 5 nights and 250 in free play, but then send another offer for a similar time frame for only up to 3 nights with only a resort credit for a smaller amount...not sure why I would bother with the second? Then, I'll get another offer for just 2-3 nights stay and the caveat Its weekdays only at the premium properties.

They do send offers that I find very appealing, I really like their experiences they put together, but can't figure out why they would spend money on the postage for the others?

What are you looking for then? If you are getting comped that well, then why even check the offers as your host can take care of all that including the occasion value add. Personally, my offers fro the last six month have been the best I've seen in my long history with CET so I can't agree that they are getting less valuable. I prefer that they do offer resort credits or free play over cheesy gifts and that is what I am seeing more of.

Marketing and hosts are two totally separate companies.
The marketing department doesn't know that you get all of your food charges comped by the host.
By default, a better way to do it, would be to gamble at your normal level, and use the resort credit to eat on, therefore not having a host comp you out of their "discretionary" bucket...so that next time, you can get more from host.

I'd prefer gift cards or free play. My point was that they are offering something that I already get, so it isn't much if an offer. I do see big screen TVs being offered in January. I also understand that the better offers are during their slower periods.
Why do I check offers?? I have a lot of flexibility in when I travel, so why wouldn't I choose to travel when CET us offering free play, visa gift cards or a big screen TV.

I'm the same way, I won't go unless I have a good free play offer (most gift card offers come with a free play option). I drive in, so it makes it easy to change dates for a better offer.

My husband is an unbelievable shopper, so offers like the 55" LG LED HDTV isn't valuable enough for me to take. Free play or gift cards only for me, please! And free play offers that come with drawings are even better. I won $2500 free play in the drawing the weekend of the 7 Stars event (end of October).

The title of this thread is very misleading in my opinion. Personally, my offers, both in terms of what I am offered and the quantity have never been better. In fact, I personally have too many offers! As Tim S. said above, marketing cannot possibly personalize every offer. If you gamble at the level where you are comped rooms, food and beverage, then surely you can get ahold of your host they can offer you items/comps that appeal to you.

I see no evidence that CET is reducing there offers in any way (unless of course you are gambling less or abusing comps).

    It doesn't work that way.

You don't get more next time because you took less this time.

Take everything you can get every time you can get it.

The only possible exception is when you have a really good relationship with your host and he goes above and beyond regularly for you it's nice to throw him a bone every once in a while.

My point was: A host can get you freeplay and sometimes gift cards if you are already getting free meals and transportation. Depending on the market, they can get you in on a offer than marketing didn't include you on. Yeah, you should choose to go with CET if they are offering you great value adds, but the way you presented yourself suggests that you shouldn't be depedent on what marketing is rolling out to come.

I find the user interface once logged into Total Rewards horrible, it's hard to sift through offers, see what's new and what everything includes. Hope they address it but since they did their re-design and didn't fix it not holding my breath.

Congrats! I've been in Vegas on a lot of those weekends for free play and a draw and have never won anything. At least they make it easy by just having to check at the TR desk to see if you won anything. When they give away cars, it's always hundreds of people standing around trying to hear their name.

I agree.....my favs are free play and gift cards.

Thanks! It's the first time I've EVER won anything in a casino drawing. I can't tell you how shocked and excited I was to see I was ranked 27 and told to go to the cashier to claim my $2500 prize. Amazed me!

They throw everything at you to see what sticks. A 5 night stay at CP and $1000 free play, or 2 weeknights at the quad with 2 free bingo daubers? Your choice.

It might make sense not to send low value offers to high level players, but that is not part of their strategy. If they can bring you in with a useless/low value offer, that is their gain.

My wife and I were offered 500 fp and Brittany Spears tickets. I haven't seen any downgrading of offers either.
