Listening to the AM station these pro pick guys. Tony D. Adam Z. etc. Anybody ever use this service? They sound so sure of there information which you pay for. How did it go for your $99 special. LOL

I'd like to believe them but......

Anyone have any experience with this service?

The local Sports Radio guys called these numbers repeatedly years ago. They found they would get both sides of the line to spur calls to their pay services.

if they are so sure they should bet 100,000 on each game its a scam.

It's very similar to the movie, you've got guys that push you to bet bigger than what you are doing now so that they can get a piece of what you are betting. Personally I just think it's more fun to try to get to the magical 57% level on my own. If you look at sports betting like it's the stock market, maybe it's your thing.

Will have to see... the line moved on S Miss to +9 now.

You can get Colin Cowheard's Blazing 5 picks for free on ESPN.

He is 21-14 so far this year. That is pretty good and his picks are free.

Those guys on the pick lines are full of crap. If they are so sure they can just sit in the sports book and bet. Why to charge for picks? ( because you get money for giving the picks and you have to put up money to bet on the pick.) Sure thing is to get money for the pick. you get paid win or lose.

I always figured they were trying to get the lines to move in one direction or another by announcing their "locks." They get enough people to bite, the line will move, no?

My brother used to work at a place like this. They had no scientific means of picking anything. he just picked the teams he thought would win.

Well that was wrong... Southern Miss lost by 11. Just shows they are just guessing. NO one knows. If they did they would just bet on the game.

I second the comments about avoiding all touts, they'll easily do things like give one customer one side and another customer the other side of a bet and collect there cuts from the winnings. Also please don't call those 1-800 numbers on the radio I hear one all the time on the local ESPN radio for Jonathan Stone. "Jonathan Stone's stone cold locks, he feels like you can act on this game as if it's already been played." From what I hear is you call the number and before you even get the free game they'll connect you to a sales rep and they will be on you forever.

It's a simple scam - Get 1,000 people to call and give them a free pick - 1/2 the people get on pick, 1/2 get the other. The next week, you offer up picks to the people who got the winning pick and charge them a small fee - now you have 500 paying customers. The next week, you still have 250 people on the hook, then 125, etc.

I like the one that says "Wayne Wins!" Supposedly it's Wayne Allyn Root doing the picks, but I doubt it.

Don't get me started. One of my golfing buddies uses these things. He has to call them when we are on the course. They all sound the same, like annoying, cliched, radio disc jockeys.

I made the huge mistake of calling a tout in the early 2000's. Horrible experience to say the very least. Darn near had to get my phone number changed. This was in 2003 I believe and I still had both a home phone and a wife. My (now ex) wife was not happy with the amount of calls we got. No matter how many times I said no, they kept calling. Stay far, far away is my advice for what its worth.
