This is a great source of info for the Vegas traveler looking for dining deals and have access to a car!

Interested people should print out your write up!

Planet Dailies at Planet Hollywood has $9.99 all-you-can-eat-pasta or prime-rib special during a certain time of the day but forgot when. The Paris bar/lounge near Cafe Ile St. Louis has two-for-one martini specials during happy hour. BLT steak at Bally's has half-price drinks during happy hour, even on my Blanton's bourbon. These are a little more pricey than those off the strip, but not bad for those who don't want to leave there.

Don't forget the graveyard specials at the Market St Cafe at the California; including their oxtail soup for $9.95.

Don't forget the $5.99 steak, eggs, hash browns and toast special at Ellis Island

When I was there in June, the price was $8.99. Has it gone up? Even if it has, it's still a fantastic deal.

Nice work Ben! There are still values to be had.

Besides the closing of Westward Ho, Stardust, Bourbon Street, Showboat, Barbary Coast etc, perhaps the biggest travesty in Vegas is the loss of the $1.99 and $2.99 steak and eggs specials after a night of mayhem. There was nothing better than stumbling into a coffee shop at 0400, homeless drunk and devouring $2 of grub....of course justifying your $700 blackjack and craps losses by having a great breakfast on the cheap!

I know you 80's and 90's Vegas veterans know exactly what I'm talking about! Ah, the good days.

I had this "write up" printed out before my return to Vegas after a 10-year hiatus in Sept. 2011. :evillaugh But it's definitely worth making people aware of.

    His source is here.

That's actually a fraction of the Vegas specials still to be had, and The Strip still has tons of them (no car needed). They are being professionally compiled in one place by someone who is working the phone daily.

You guys need to hint, hint to Sonya to run the info on the membership program that is doing it. (It's not LVA). She'd make a cut to help fund the board and all of you would save on your visits. Huge win-win!
