Clown Ho, i hope you are not mad at me that I start this weeks NFL discussion thread. But after seeing the lines I have to start it right away.
In week 6 and 7 I only saw 2 games each. I see a lot of "opportunities" in week 8. Might be a trap.
    http://www.vegas.com/gaming/sportsline/football/

So lets start with the early tendencies:
i ride the money train to the end with the colts:
    colts -3 @ steelers
    texans -1 @ titans
    packers +1.5 @ saints
    bucs - 3 vs vikings
    ravens +1.5 @ bengals
dolphins -5 @ jacksonville (was looking for a lower spread)
    redskins -9.5 @ cowboys
    eagles +2.5@ cardinals

probably go with: COLTS, texans, ravens, packers, fins and bucs. 40% colts; 20% texans and rest on the 4 other games.

    good luck everybody ! ! ! ! ! :peace:

I'm with you on the Colts. Steelers are scary because they're explosive, but their defense is just not that good.

I'm staying away from Packers vs. Saints. Super Dome is way too scary, the Packers D can be exploited by a smart offensive coach, and Sean Payton is a smart offensive coach.

You reversed the Washington/Dallas line Usually Redskins - 9.5 would mean to me that the redskins are favored by 9.5. The Boys are the favorite so it's either Dallas -9.5 or Washington +9.5.

i'm far from saying that a packers win is a gimme, but...
my "scouts" at the "super dome" told me that some saints fans already lost trust in their O this season. i saw a lot of saints games in the past with a lot of brew brees come back wins. but i never saw the saints O with brees so flat on the last drive then vs the lions. the win vs the bucs wasnt impressive either. the saints won both of their home games, but vs WHO? bucs and vikings. the packers are on a winning streak. rodgers confidence is so high. the training with hans & franz really paid off. :wink the packers fans will take over new orleans this weekend.
the last seasons the super dome was way too scary. this season, i feel a lot of uneasiness in the big easy.

eagles and bucs comming out of the bye week.
lions "@" falcons game is in wembley and not in a dome.

i was not the person who started creating the weekly discussion threads, i simply started a few when nobody else had. first come, first serve!

it's early in my thought process, so i won't decide my plays yet, but i'm leaning under on DET @ ATL. and right now it's hard to bet against the Packers.
i will jump on MIA early at -4.5 to -5.

Love Indy -3 and Texans -1.

Cardinals are better than they are being credited. Cowboys aren't, but doubt Colt McCoy can keep Washington close.

Can I ride the Colts for another week?
You bet I can. You can get Indy @ 5 Dimes for -21/2.

I am with you guys - hammer Indy until they let me down.

I have a strange feeling about the Saints this weekend - its really a must win for them - I think the home crowd gets it done somehow.

What about betting against Oakland until they win?

I started doing this 2 weeks back. Currently managed 25 up to 60 so far. If they go 0-16, it should finish up at between 700-900 I think from the original 25.

UGHHH... as an Oakland Raider fan since the early 70's, I NEVER thought such a comment would be uttered. Sadly, I know it's true!!!

that article linked to in the week 7 discussion has pointed out how the over is coming in the majority of the time for prime time games. tonight's game was slow to open up and quickly shut down after the over was reached, but i am a happy bear nonetheless.

Taking Jacksonville with the points...bumped up to 6 as of now and taking the 7 as of now and running with Oakland.

After this week and back to back losses to then winless Jacksonville and still winless Oakland, the era, chaos, ESPN over-hype of Johnny Football will begin

I'm on Indy to cover, and Green Bay with the points (+1 and -105 at Bovada was too tempting given the recent play of the Saint D and the Packers O).

I'm also on Wisconsin vs. Maryland to cover 10 in the college game. It's homecoming, and Maryland's run D is terrible.

I'm a terrible homer this weekend, but I think I'm right on both teams.
