They have invaded at least me and the two houses next to me. The ground is very soft and I found two entry/exit holes that I crushed. The grass has turned brown above their tunnels because they eat the roots. I was hoping that recent rain storms would drown them.

I even saw one in the open two Sundays ago. I went back into the house to get a golf club (a 5-iron, Ken) to dispatch it to mole heaven, but it was gone by the time I got back.

I saw on You Tube you can kill them by setting out mouse traps around their holes and putting a 5 gallon bucket over top of the traps, so they think it's night time.

    Any other ideas?

I wish, but my ultra-Christian neighbors would have a total shit-fit.

If you can get your hands on some, spread used kitty litter around.

i've been told by others that stuffing human hair in the holes discourages them
also that if you put mothballs the smell will send them elsewhere, maybe to you ultra christian neighbors:wink2:

I've tried various things with mixed success, spraying castor oil(can buy it at the yard store) works sometimes, but the thing that works best is to spread poison to kill the ground insects, ant killer, grub killer, etc. with no insects to eat they will go elsewhere.

I remember when I was a kid that my dad use to fill in one side of the tunnel (exit hole) and put a lit road flare into the other end and the smoke would get them to leave.

They love white grubs. Put down some good grub killer a few times and this should fix your problem.

A good cheap way, I was told to pour chilli powder and red pepper down the holes. They hate it.

There's only one tried and true method to ensure they're gone, Maccabee trap.

Or if you know someone with a terrier, it will probably dig at the hole a bit, but more importantly, if it identifies the mole, it will likely pee all around the hole, which does tend to make them go elsewhere. Friends and family borrow mine all the time, if she doesn't catch and kill whatever it is, she generally makes it go elsewhere. Living in the very urban environment I do, I had rats in my buildings dumpster, a few non-lethal run ins with her, they thought better of it and moved further down the alley.

I would love to pour gasoline down there and light it, but like I said, neighbors would not approve.

I wonder if Coors Banquet pee would work. I'm going to be ready in twenty minutes.

Bingo. That definitely works. Also you can go out at night with a pitchfork and decimate the mole tracks. If you get just one of them the others will stay away. This actually works, I've done it.
