    Hey,

Today I got an mailed offer from Wynn for 3 nights and some FP.
Pretty good but how did they find me? I've never even been there.
Been to Vegas a handful of times and have only stayed at Aria

Did you play at any of the MGM properties when it was owned by Wynn, and do you live in the same residence back then? I think Wynn took all his contacts with them when he sold the MGM properties. That's the only thing I could come up with.

They probably found you via a credit card database. It's fairly simple to extract individuals that have stayed in an upscale Vegas resort such as Aria in the last year. They take that data and do some additional data mining, such as a credit check, to determine if you are worthy of an offer. It's obviously a calculated risk on their part, but that's part of the business.

I'm pretty sure you can't credit check someone without their consent!

There are myriad possibilities. Information is shared all sorts of ways, online and offline. The people who run ATM's sometimes share. You may have inadvertently acquiesced to sharing in the fine print you didn't read just about anywhere. Or even if you did read it, you may not have known you were giving permission. The book I mentioned in another recent post, "What Stays in Vegas," discusses some of the ways it can happen.

It's too late to remain invisible, so I suggest you take advantage if it fits into your schedule. When it happened to me, I took the bait and worked free and cheap rooms several times until Wynn concluded (correctly) that I was not the type of customer it wanted. Wynn is a gorgeous property. You may find that you like it better than Aria. Just don't take the slippers. They charge for them.

Yeah unfortunately doesn't fit. Would love to try it out though.
This is my first year to Vegas so they didn't get it from any MGM sale. I'm more surprised than shocked tbh.

They did the same to me a year ago, offer matched what TI was offering me so I was guessing that is how they found me, either from the hotel or from an ex-employee that moved there.

We got this same offer last year. Actually ended up at Encore and it was great.
