    Hello all.

I may be headed to vegas this weekend, but only for 24 hours or so, and was wondering if people have been able to get promo chips at the cosmo without actually staying there.

Friends are going to be way down the strip so I will probably stay and play there for a short while (they're not gamblers) and may try some mlife play, since I haven't played there in a couple years. But I wouldn't want to leave $2700 in promo chips unused if I could just walk in there and pick it up from the cashier.

If they require you to get a room, then get one. Nobody forces you to stay in it. I assume with that much in chips, you can get a free room. AND, if your friends want to come down there for a few drinks, you can sit out on the balcony with them. Always a nice break

I am in the same situation next weekend and my host told me I should be able to pick up my promo chips even if I am not staying there

Yeah, I know, it's a free room and no one would know any better. I have always had my room charges comped at the Cosmo - but I don't want to ding my host if I know I'm not going to play there this weekend and "wasting" comps, because next time I may try and ask for more based on my last trip.

I don't care for my Venetian host though, so I may just "stay" there and the Bellagio this weekend.

Yes, I have done it before without checking into a room.

I've got an offer for chips there but I've never actually used any at the Cosmo. I know they're one time use per the fine print on my offer but my question is are they valid for non-even money bets. As in can I use them to take odds in craps and get the correct payout?

Yes they are valid for any craps bet you like. Place bets, hard ways, odds, etc.

Ok cool. I've heard both only even money and otherwise. I guess I'll just have to ask next time I swing through.
