I am curious if Mlife has anything like the diamond lounges where you can grab a drink or a snack. If so what level do you need to be and what hotels have them.

Not really, unless you want to list them.

I've never heard of a "platinum" lounge at MGM properties, but some of them do have VIP lounges. Including: Mandalay Bay (both at VIP checkin and on the suite floors), NYNY (very small one at VIP checkin), MGM Grand (at VIP checkin and a Noir only bar in the high limit, although I suspect anyone playing in the high limit can take advantage of it), Aria (fabulous lounge at Skysuite checkin), Bellagio (at VIP checkin), Mirage (at VIP checkin) and at Goldstrike in Tunica (I think the current requirement is that it is for Noir only). Basically, if you are staying in a nicer suite at an MGM property, you will likely be able to use the VIP lounge at the hotel. They are of varying quality, however, with Ari and Bellagio being the two best IMO

I know they made some change to the GS entrance a year ago. It might have been that they cut out guests staying in suites (the black room key card). But good to know that platinum gets you in there as well as noir

Mirage - they have beer and wine, but is the check in room.
MGM - no bar. It is a check in area, and they will get you a drink from somewhere in the back
NYNY - check in area, they get you a drink from somewhere in the back. You will normally be sitting there by yourself.
Bellagio - check in area, small bar that you server yourself, sometimes a 'butler' type is there.
These places are really just a check in area. They might have a few seats, but it is not a bar type area like CET at all. You have to actually ask the check in clerk to serve you. Mirage, you can help yourself.

Mandalay Bay does have the VIP lounge up top on weekends.

Gold Strike is the closest thing to a CET lounge. Bar service, seats, some light food.

I haven't been in the CET areas, so I cannot compare to that, but I can compare to the GoldStrike area. Both Bellagio and Aria are very comparable. Aria has the largest area of the MGM lounges. Both Aria, Bellagio, and Mandalay Bay (the suite floor lounge on the weekends) all have food and drinks. I agree the other areas are smaller and have snacks moreso than food

the B VIP lounge has bottles of liquor in the cabinet and you can help yourself whenever you want.

MGM VIP lounge is pretty lame.

The Bellagio VIP lounge is invitation only or Noir and serves hot/cold drinks with nibbles during day and wine in the evenings. The Liquor is in the locked cabinets and you have to ask the Butler for one of these drinks.. or two..or three. Then depends on the tip if you are still standing

I have only seen people flash the room key. But its worth a shot. Worst caser scenario, the security guard asks you to turn around

Must have a sky suite key. But just tell the guard that you are going to the check in desk and he will let you thru. Then ask/beg the girl at the desk to give you a non working key. Let her know you always stay there just not this time . May want to give her a little something something... It worked for me once before but no guarantees. Good luck.

I realize that the topic is lounges, but there are Platinum privileges at mLife properties. Such as:

    Those that I know of:

Bellagio - free tickets to the Art Gallery
Mirage - free tickets to the Secret Garden
Mandalay Bay - Free tickets to Shark Reef
MGM - Access to a special area in the Sportsbook (not verified)

I will be verifying the access and limits and post a new thread

The last one is news to me...where is this supposed special area and is there a required betting threshold?

It is supposedly access to the Sportsbook skyboxes and is an mLife Platinum level perk, but I will verify on my Thanksgiving trip.

I always thought those were reservation only and a certain betting threshold was required. I will try to check it out next week.
