I was in Vegas 30 years ago with my ex, and we ate at a restaurant and had steak and lobster which was delicious - learned a lesson that day tho that if the prices are not on the menu, it's going to be expensive!

I'm finally coming back to Vegas 30 years older and a new husband in tow, and I'd love to have a good lobster dinner again - anywhere special but reasonable price to get a good lobster meal? Also, would love to try a lobster po'boy sandwich if anyone has any suggestions?

    TIA

    Good for you!
Vegas has changed a LOT in 30 years, so you are in for a treat!

Since I am from Massachusetts and can have lobster regularly, I never order the lobster dinners or po'boys/rolls in Vegas,
so others will have to share that information with you.

However, there is one lobster dish that I haven't found in Mass yet which is yummy,
and that is the lobster satay at the Lemongrass in the Aria.
Whenever I am there, I order it, since it combines lobsters with Thai food, one of my favorite cuisines.

If you would enjoy "all you can eat" lobster tails, then I can recommend the Sterling Brunch at BTK Steakhouse at Bally's. It is on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and is an extraordinary buffet that includes lobster tails, oysters on the half shell, filet mignon, big peeled shrimp, crab claws, etc. as well as all you can drink quality champagne. It is pricey at $90, but a reasonable value if you enjoy a large meal.

My husband orders lobster often in Vegas. The most recent time was at Old Homestead Steakhouse in Caesars. He got a 2 lb Maine lobster and it was $63 which I thought was reasonable for the location/quality.

Sterling Brunch is also a great option to get higher end food, we've been there before and it is worth the price. Like the poster above mentioned, it is at Ballys, but it is called BLT Steakhouse. (Soon to only be serving brunch on Sundays.) And it is only $85 per person with a Total Rewards card (the players card, which you can get for free). They serve unlimited Perrier Jouet champagne which is about $40-45 retail, so that is another plus.

For the lobster po'boy, I would imagine you could get it at LobsterME (located in the Miracle Mile Shops or Grand Canal Shoppes) for a reasonable price.

Thanks all - and PayTriple, I'm so jealous that you can get quality lobster all the time - I've also been to the East Coast on one of my favorite trips - Maine, Mass, NY, Cape Cod, and I enjoyed a wonderful lobster dinner while I was there - have seriously considered moving there just for that reason - lol.

You would have loved it the past couple of years, the lobster have been abundant and cheap,
sometimes as low as $4.99 per pound in some supermarkets (usually the price is $6.99 to $9.99 per lb).

You are not going to recognize Vegas - it is quite a lot more built up from what it was 30 years ago and several of the casinos you remember from back then are long gone. There will be plenty to see and explore as if it were your very first time going! One of my favorite lobster dishes is the Maine lobster pot pie at Michael Mina located in the Conservatory at Bellagio. It is his signature dish, and it is SPECTACULAR! It is market price, and when I have had it is not inexpensive but it is so delicious it is worth every penny. The dish is plated tableside- they bring a large pot to the table and cut the buttery crust off the top and put it on your plate - then take the Maine lobster (sliced in the shell) and arrange it on top of the crust. There is a delicious creamy truffle lobster sauce and tons of vegetables that go on top of that and you will find yourself dreaming about that dish when you are back home. Definitely recommended.

My wife really enjoys the chicken fried lobster at Binion's Steakhouse downtown. For her it is a must do dinner every trip. I had never seen lobster prepared this way, and I'm not a lobster guy myself, but it even looked good to me.

    ok, here we go:

Doing the Board a favor. Go to Charlie Palmer at 4 Seasons and order their Ritz Cracker Lobster. Amazing in every respect as well as unique. In a nutshell, they take the lobster tail, eviscerate it along with what else, Ritz crackers, add what I suspect is lemon garlic and butter, and then reconfigure it in the split lobster tail. You will thank me.
