Making my 2nd trip to Vegas in a couple weeks. I stayed at Harrahs last time and will be at Mandalay Bay this go around.

I really enjoy poker and my first trip I was just so enamored with everything didn't want to tie myself down for hours at a poker table.

I want to play a couple tourneys this time. Do any of you have a ballpark time on how long some of them take. I'm thinking about playing one at Harrah's or Ceasars and Mandalay.

I went deep in the 7pm nightly at aria and we chopped 6 handed at 2am. Started with lik 70 people with re entry.

I would think like 8+ hours for a tourney with decent turnout and decent structure.

Those aren't the type he's talking about at all. 2.5 to 3 hours for the 3 places you mentioned.

The daytime poker tournaments at Mandalay Bay are very very quick-blinds double every 15 minutes. They'll be over in 2 hours. The deep stack at night is only marginally longer.

Plan on about 3 hours at any of those spots.

What's the typical prize structure for the shorter earlier tourneys? With mid-buyin (60-100)?

The casino takes 35%. They win every tourney. 2 or 3 players split whats left.
